So how many Swedes will be on the main roster next year?

Zetterberg
Franzen
Nyquist
Kronwall
Ericsson

And now Samuelsson and Gustavsson.

Tied for most Swedes ever on a Wings roster?

I think so. In 2008-2009 it was at its highest I believe.

I think so. In 2008-2009 it was at its highest I believe.

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Love the signing. Appropriate rate for a backup goalie, and the upside is even higher. Don't get the NAS bloggers tweeting insults about him, probably just being trolls.

Ah yes. Hmm. So I guess 2008-2009 was the ultimate height of Swedes.

Although maybe I shouldn't have counted Ericsson for the year 2008-2009. Or if I count Ericsson for that year then I can probably count Joakim Andersson for this year. In that case it's still a tie.

Nope cannot forget Mattias Ritola in 2009 so 08-09 wins....

He didn't play any games though on the main roster that year.

It remains to be seen but I'm pretty Jocke Andersson will play a good amount of games for the Wings this year.

and the best thing about Wings Swedes is that all of them were at some point core of Swedish National Team. and if I'm not mistaken the big 5 (Nicks, Zata, Mule and Sammy) have even played as a unit in some Olympics...
