Per MLive, he will play this season, whether it's for the NHL or the KHL, but wants to play for a championship. Can't say that I blame him, but what if there's only a partial lockout?

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

Should just play for the griffs so at least us wings fans could see him.

I think he would come back if the lockout ended for an abbreviated season. Wouldn't seem like Dats to bail on a year of his contract. Plus I'm sure he'd much rather prefer to play for the cup... So interesting that the impending lockout would only serve to enrich the KHL talent pool. Sounds like a crappy idea to let that happen and allow NHL players to get comfortable playing for a rival league.
