Since we're all ready for our hockey fix I guess we need to find ways to follow our players oversees.
Does anyone have any idea or info where to find these games, highlights, articles etc to help better follow?
I would definitely love to see how much all of these guys are going to dominate the KHL in what we hope will be a short stint.

The owners want to pay the players less than what they originally signed them for, doesn't that render the contract no longer legally binding? Can they play in other leagues instead of coming back to the NHL when they finally reach a CBA agreement as Ovechkin has stated he would like to do.
According to the IIHF they must return to the NHL I believe.

also, they have a youtube channel where you can watch highlights from around the league. http://www.youtube.com/khl
and there are often streams to some of the KHL and other overseas games on this site http://www.vipboxspo...ice-hockey.html
hope this helps

i'm sure there's some sort of legal loophole that the owners will use

Additionally, the KHL made a bunch of rules in anticipation of the lock-out. Players can only be signed to contracts if they have played >150 games in the NHL in the last three seasons, previously played in the KHL, represented their country in international play, or were at some point an Stanley Cup finalist/award winner. Each team can only sign a max of 3 NHL players. Also, every KHL contract must have an out clause in case the NHL resumes play. Here is the link.
What Jimmy D said was interesting. The players are no longer covered by the NHL's health insurance plan, so if they get injured playing in another league, the owners may not be required to fulfill the remainder of their contract. Things could get messy in that regard. I think some of the players who have not ventured out of the league to play may be doing it for that reason. If they are recovering from injuries now and aggravate them in another league, they might find themselves to be in trouble down the line. We've always talked about Z and his back issues and Helm who just recently had wrist surgery.

but that 3 max nhl player rule would explain why the top nhl russian players haven't all signed on the same team. i had been wondering about that.
http://www.cbssports...n-north-america Maybe in the future you won't have to look for it.
that would be cool. by the time the scheduled start of the regular season comes around i'm going to be starving for any sort of hockey games featuring nhl players.

It's 1-0 in 2nd intermission, Radulov's brother got the only goal.
Oh then they must have called it back for some reason. It was a beauty though.
