Guest The Axe Report post Posted January 3, 2013 Get your ass out of retirement and give us one more half of a season. No "but"s, Nick.
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 No. He's retired, it's over.
Guest irishock Report post Posted January 3, 2013 If only he didn't have a press conference after the retirement, then he'd have the face to pull a Forsberg. He's not pulling a Favre, imo. Wings will bring Hasek out of retirement-- I can almost sense it.
Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 No, he's retired, that's over too. Steve's not coming back, Kris Draper isn't coming back, Chris Osgood isn't coming back, Kirk Maltby isn't coming back, no one is coming back. It's time to move out of the past and step into the present.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted January 3, 2013 Even if by some miracle he decided he wanted to play again, NHL rules would prohibit him from returning until the beginning of the 2013-2014 season. In other words, no way.
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 The man gave his heart and soul to the Red Wings organization for two decades. Everything about Nick's character alone makes this suggestion unrealistic and selfish. Enjoy retirement, #5. 2 kipwinger and Motown4013 reacted to this
IrishWing19 6 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 Also, sine he announced his retirement publicly he isn't allowed play for one season. Not to mention he sold his house in Detroit and moved his family back to Sweden.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted January 3, 2013 (edited) Tried to post this once and it vanished. Please excuse me if this is a double. I'll agree with the sentiment that it would be nice to have Lidstrom back, but that's as far as I'll go. Enjoy your retirement, Nick. You deserve it. (Although if you get too bored...) Hockeymom1960 5,107 Report post Posted January 5, 2013 (edited) Can't we just clone him, maybe a younger Nick? Edited January 5, 2013 by Hockeymom1960
Z Winged Dangler 2,082 Report post Posted January 7, 2013 Can't we just clone him, maybe a younger Nick? He made kids. No Lidstrom will ever wear a different jersey than Wings/Sweden!
