Out of curiosity, what defines a player as a prospect? Jeimer Candelario was not on the list, but obviously he played 43 games. Is it 1 game, 5 games, 10 games? Just wondering.

But I was wondering what the cutoff was between "prospect" and "MLB player". Like, if they play 1 game, are they no longer a "prospect". Just curious.

Until a player or pitcher can become  consistent  they will just be a prospect. We hear all the time so-nso needs more time. Why? they are not  consistent in their game yet.
