I know this is very premature and optimistic on both sides, but how neat would it be to see a Detroit vs Toronto final as a prelude to the WC?

Sometimes, I get so excited that only the Fresh Prince can truly convey how I feel...
While the Fresh Prince is appropriate at this time, I feel Carlton expresses it just a bit better:

i'm happy.
No, he's in Calgary. ![]()
I will take any kind of win in game 7, but I prefer that it not be in overtime. I can't take these OT games anymore. I'm this close to a heart attack.
Especially because they stupidly schedule it at 10pm on Sunday. All friggin' afternoon open and you have to have a game practically starting on Monday? WTF!

Feel bad for the people who paid to watch them at the Joe.
Thanks for the sympathy. It was a tough one to watch, especially as the mass exodus started at 10:00 in the third and continued with each goal.
The only cool part of the night was the pre-game show mc'd by Mac himself leading the "Let's go Wings!" chant.

can we dress hudler now that the flames are done?
I would rather dress Joey Mac. And in sticking to the theme of this GDT, both figuratively and literally. ![]()
And a 15 Beers Deep sighting!!! Love it!
My sentiments exactly!!
We need to have more female fan themed GDTs in my opinion.
The back cover pics of Gus and Z are my favorite from the OP because they look so real, especially Z. Great job, FlashyG!

Seriously, of any player we have in reserve, Bert has the best chance of being a catalyst to a win, imo.
With the exception of a certain #43 if he were able to go. He would definitely be the jet-pack this team could use.
Go Wings! Split the series to come back home!

This is my first attempt at a GIF. Sorry for the size. I don't know how to make it bigger.

Now if it were a kilt it would be even better!

I say lots of freebies, tons of autograph signings and player meet and greets, plus severely discounted tickets so that fans will be enticed to return to the Joe and have more extra money to spend to help those who were really affected by the lockout--the downtown restaurant and bar owners and anyone else who's business has taken a hit from this.

I was just trying to explain to my girlfriend why this is such a big deal to me and it was surprisingly hard to do. In the end, I tried to explain it thus: You know that feeling you get when there's something really super duper important to do and for whatever reason you're not the one responsible for it. Like you've got a big work project, or your car needs fixed, OR YOU DESPERATELY NEED SOMEONE TO STOP A 2 ON 1, etc. And then you get that warm feeling when you know that the person who really is responsible for it is ultra talented, dedicated, and trust worthy? Having Nick Lidstrom responsible for my favorite thing, gave me that warm feeling for 20f****** years.
And people were LOLing @ me for having him casted..... Figured there was more to it...
Well earned retirement... I am proud to say I seen him play his last game at JLA in person...

The Swedes really needed an NHL-caliber goaltender in order to have a chance at winning.
