#2342116 1/19: Red Wings 0 at St. Louis Blues 6

Anyone else wish we "overpaid" for a quality player?

But look at all these bargains that Holland got at the thrift shop!

#2320158 We can still win it all THIS season, but...

Oh, please. So by that logic, we should let these GM's off the hook if they can't get good, young guys because it's "hard". I'm sorry, but as a GM who's paid 6 million dollars a year, your JOB is to find a way to get-it-done.

Seriously, how is this suppose to happen when pending FAs are almost always signing extensions with their teams? Should we have offer sheeted 150million to Weber? Should we have thrown the bank at Suter for 120 million? That's how basketball teams are built but it doesn't work so well in the NHL. You can't have 3 great players and a bunch of AHLers.

Ha ha ha. Holland is firing blanks.

I'm getting a strong feeling that you don't think Holland is doing an adequate job.

Probably most of the same people that are in that video.

#2315289 Jonathan Ericsson. Knock, knock...

Posted by Dave on 04 July 2012 - 08:56 PM

Ericsson couldn't make the next step when he was being coddled, he will not make it next season. Hes overpaid, and boneheaded defensively, I don't expect to see any difference next season.

Ericsson was our 2nd best D man in the playoffs this year. E has made great strides. He will never be a point producing defenseman, but when it comes to PK or shutting down the opposition he has improved a ton.

so does crosby... 8.7mill long term. These guys both had freak injuries. Can't predict the future. Mueller comes for free so at least consider that.

One of those players put up 120 points in 1 season....

Franzen, Tatar, Kindl, JMac, picks for Nash

It's pretty comical how many people think unproven players and rookies can walk into Hudler's spot and put 25+25 up.

People forget he scored 96 pts in the AHL. As good as Tatar and Nyquist are they haven't scored 96 pts in the minors.

#2298986 Gary Bettman is the worst thing to happen to hockey

As long as Bettman is still commissioner the article is pertinent. Why are you overwhelmed by the article too difficult for you to comprehend?

Trollin' for 4 days now. You're going to have to do better than this.

The tank is empty. This team has absolutely nothing.

We have more talent on paper than Nashville does. Way more.

I think that's a myth these days. Datsyuk and Z, sure but where else on the roster does Det have an advantage?

Don't forget Stuart.

Fool can't win one puck battle behind the net.

He's been California dreaming for 2 years now.

The Wings are just done after that easy one by the Preds.

Well let's be honest. This team has looked done since game 7 of the 09 finals.
