#2316023 Red Wings Sign Jordin Tootoo to 3-yr deal, $1.9M/yr

Kinda sucks we didn't get Konopka.

Abby-Konopka-Tootoo would be fun to watch

#2316000 Quincey files for arbitration

Come on people.he's been here like 20 games or so and we are throwing him under the bus already.
I'm not saying he's going to be a stud, but definitely want to see him playing more to judge him.

#2315126 St. James: Wings have inquired about Rick Nash

Posted by pucktividi on 04 July 2012 - 06:19 PM

At this point I'd rather want to see "Wings have inquired about Jack Johnson".Nash is a very good player, but we can get better by signing some UFA forward(s) unlike by signing some UFA d-man left.

#2311639 Ilitch, Chelios to fly to Suter, Holland to fly to Parise

"We might not be always aggressive during July 1st,but when we are,we chase you with the Red Bird" :tounge:

#2309545 Ken Holland

It's going to be a huge test for him,no doubt,but don't think he'll fail.
He isn't the aggressive GM,but neither is stupid not to act when he needs to.

You can't replace Lidstrom, that's obvious, but all this situation reminds me a bit on Schneider's departure.
Did Ken act then?Yes by signing Rafalski so I'm optimistic he'll do the same with Suter :)

#2309235 2012 NHL Entry Draft Discussion

A 7th round swedish pick that 'only' Hakan heard of...got to be a steal lol

#2308653 Top Swiss-leaguer Brunner to sign with Wings, Babcock has big plans

Can't  hurt to have him signed on a two-way contract

Oh,and he picked Detroit over Minnesota :tease:

#2307695 If we fail to reload with top UFAs we should?

Posted by pucktividi on 17 June 2012 - 10:56 AM

Sign Parenteau,Moen and one of Konopka/Prust,get both Wideman and Garrison and sign a backup goalie for cheap.

Not the best possible team on paper, but definitely much tougher and deeper than the last season roster

#2307501 Red Wings Prepared to Offer Hudler Contract

Posted by pucktividi on 15 June 2012 - 10:16 AM

Atleast Hudler can score some key goals and clutch times. Needless to say, Semin only scored 21 goals last year (contract year) while Hudler scored 25 (on a contract year) while earning less money. That speaks volumes about motivation.

Not a Hudler hater, nor Semin fan,but motivated Hudler is capable of scoring 25 goals and yet motivated Semin has scored 40 goals not so long ago,so If I must pick one of them I'd rather take Semin for around $5mil. than Happy Huds for around $4mil.

lol...any list before draft and free agency is kind of ridiculous

#2306659 Brad Stuart's rights traded to San Jose

Posted by pucktividi on 11 June 2012 - 04:24 PM

I'm not a New Jersey fan so why would I care.

If I was a New Jersey fan then yes I would have felt the same way.

Neither am I,but as a Wings fan got to respect his decision to be with his family, especially after this statement yesterday:

“Yeah, if it was a purely hockey decision, I would stay,” Stuart said. “But I've got other things to consider and other factors other than just hockey.”

Don't let the door hit you on the ass Stuart. I don't feel bad for anyone who makes multiple million dollars a year in a occupation that is not family friendly and then complains about not getting to see their family. If he really wanted to see them more he'd just retire.

Did you have the same attitude when Brian Rafalski signed here to be closer to his family?

He played less the year prior and had almost the same numbers, I dont look at plus minus because that is a team stat.  He wasnt helping as much and definitely wasnt manning up on guys like he did in the previous year.

I'm pretty pissed that Sharks almost got a freebie here, but at least we've got a pick in return.
I don't bother about his points much, cause he's a defensive d-man with extremely limited PP time, but if you want to talk about stats, here are some:

2010-11: 131 Hits,114 Blocks

2011-12: 177 Hits,115 Blocks

That's still good enough for me

#2306107 Alexander Radulov.

So the Rangers got rid of one head case named Sean Avery to bring another one in Radulov...epic

#2306077 We Need to Get Tougher to Play Against

Posted by pucktividi on 08 June 2012 - 06:15 PM

Nothing against enforcer(s),but don't want to see us becoming Bruins/Kings like team.
Yes they won it by chasing, dumping, trapping and fore-checking,but the key is still Conn Smythe winning goaltenders.

Call me crazy, but I still want Red Wings like team that moves the puck soo damn quick that fore-checking f*ckers come 1 second too late, lol
