GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 God, our team doctors are completely useless. Nobody ever comes back before the scheduled date to return. They need to start using witch doctors or something. We could use him too, since we're getting no production out of Rafalsi and Lidstrom on the PP. He was by far our best offensive defenseman this season.

He was by far our best offensive defenseman this season. I think that has more to do with how good our doctors are at predicting when the players injuries will heal. If you know a ligament will heal in 27-31 days, you're not going to say he'll be back in six weeks, you'd say 4-5 weeks. Our doctors can start saying they'll be back in six weeks if it'll make you feel better about them returning a week early?

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 Does anyone know if the Wings medical staff has changed recently? I know that they, like every other aspect of the Wings organization, has been hailed as cutting edge, best of the best. But do all these crazy injuries have anything to do with maybe a less than stellar med staff replacing the old one, or is it just crazy bad luck like it seems? b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted January 14, 2010 I think we are so desperate to get players back that we are being a bit too optimistic on return dates, leading to us rushing players back. I know the team is in dire straits right now, but when they first gave the prognosis for Kronwall's return after how the hit looked I was right away thinking no way. Now here we are saying "WTF, you're supposed to be healed by now, we told the fans you would be".
