I'm not sure you understand the meaning of perennial contender which is what the Wings are. Re-tooling and being competitive EVERY year is a lot more effective than tanking for numerous years in order to stock draft picks for one eventual cup run, and win or lose, YOUR picks will want to head to a team like OURS to try to win a cup EVERY year that they play for the team. NHL13 has a special stanley cup edition with the winner of the cup for the past 22 years in it....in those past 22 years, the Wings have 4 stanley cup championships, pens and devils 3, wild = 0. There's your recipe for success junior. Watch hockey for a few more years and take notes. Some of us have been around for a lot longer and know a little more about the game and how the systems work. The Parise deal is getting shaken up due to the investors willing to take them out of their problems. Still, Parise wants a home and he wants a contender with an uptempo style. Minnesota brings nothing to the table in that aspect besides him being born there. He was upset with the management and coaching problems in new jersey. Yeah her friend must have given her those tickets again due to her little craze over game 4. If you hadn't seen, puck daddy had an article out where they had DeBoer was caught catching alittle eye on her assets. Thought it was pretty fun that her friend had given her the tickets to game 6 also to cause alittle stir up fun.

One thing i have against this is that suter doesnt have a long list. He wants to live close to home and he isnt a city boy. He wants space. You cant have a bidding war thats asinine with a small list. Secondly, Parise wants a contender and he wants a cup. I know hes there right now but it doesnt seem likely they will dig themselves out of it. Which brings up the next point, how many real contenders are there every year that ha e the cap space to unload on him? I think people expect this giant bidding war but personally i see it going down quite smoothly. Both players want a home that will contend, one wants to be close to home. There isnt a laundry list of teams that can stand in that bidding war.
