The manage your tix section is also where you can forward your tix to someone else as a gift or print them, which I imagine is not an option for the WC tix. My account only shows the GLI tix. -

I literally teared up reading the announcement email. At this point I'm more interested in seeing the alumni game than the winter classic. So excited to see Feds in the winged wheel again.

That's interesting. I was at U of M during 9/11 and the most traumatic part of that whole day for me was watching people frantically trying to get in touch with their loved ones back in NY but not being able to get through on cells and not knowing if their loved ones were safe. I wonder if the obsession with social media also has to do with a need to be provided multiple outlets to contact others in those types of situations in addition to the need to document proof of their existence? Either way, what a senseless and devastating tragedy. My thoughts go out to all the family and friends grieving today. -

While others have spent their off season spazzing about how the Wings are now a bottom feeder team, I have convinced myself to remain level headed and optimistic. I will warn everyone here and now that THIS negotiation process is my munchkin. I also recognize that the first couple proposals in negotiations are usually ludicrous, but I'm already finding myself fighting off a rage stroke at the thought of another lost season. There is NO excuse for a lockout, and I will degenerate to posting like a 12 year old if these ridiculously skewed proposals continue. Do you hear me Bettman? You won't like me when I post like a 12 year old!!!

I came back to the forums today and thought the title of this thread had been changed to the red wings have ACQUIRED Rick Nash and my heart about dropped out of my ass. Then I was so discombobulated that I posted in the wrong thread, and now I just want to take a nap. I hate the offseason...

I agree, not so much on the overrated aspect but simply believing a farm is ever "too good to touch." Sure, there's some pieces we would definitely want to hold on to, but the reality is there are also pieces that are expendable if they help us get what we need right now. There is a balance between mortgaging the future and not shaking things up at all. Just like there is a balance between blowing up your whole roster and not being willing to trade any current spot-holders at all...- 93 replies

I'm in for Yandle and Ryan, but am afraid to think of what it would take to get both in a trade. I have no qualms about sending Franzen on his way, but I would really like to hold on to Flip and would be bummed to see him go. I've avoided posting throughout all this free agent drama because I found myself thinking like a spoiled brat, but to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I don't understand their decisions, but I don't think it's the end of the world either. I'm excited to see what Kenny's gonna pull out of his ass to fix this, I just hope it's a big enough move to keep us in contention...
