Ya, well if Pit gets Parise, then they definitely have upgraded themselves pretty good. I also agree that Suter is priority 1. We will see who signs first and then see if it's true they want to play together for real.... I also agree that signing Suter and Semin is better than just Suter or just Parise and you never know, Semin may be better here than Parise...it's all a gamble! I would still like to acquire Bobby Ryan somehow.... EDIT: honestly, I don't know how much of an upgrade Parise is to Staal, but no doubt they have to replace Staal and Parise is a winger, so that helps Crysby out...If we can score Suter & Semin, I all for a Stanley Cup rubber match! Also, there is still that outside chance of Doan or Smyth...I know they are lifers, but one season to go for it all would be a chance maybe they couldn't resist!?!?

Well to sum it up, it was fun to watch these kids realize a dream. Awesome for the parents to see all there sacrifices for 17/18 years pay off...Congrats to them all! Disappointed in Holland today...in the end, will he say Brunner was our draft day pick up? Stayed Tuned....

You are damn right...if that happens the I will seriously question Holland's thought process...the problem is, he cannot sit still and watch his rivals get younger and better and just believe that either the UFA's will come running because "It's Detroit" or that his undrafted Euro's that he is always interested in are going to put Detroit back on top...So far...same old off season to start... Could be a good thing....of course like us, they are used to the same old Holland....they have mentioned Parise a few times tonight and not a mention of Detroit either...the NHL never gives respect to Detroit. I agree with what you are saying, but the fans don't make the trades...If I had to throw a prospect like Tatar in there I would. I know Mursak didn't prove anything, I am getting rid of him and Emmerton both anyhow, so it doesn't matter where they go, just draft picks in return would be fine for them...it would just be so exciting to see Holland actually make a splash like that though! He has plenty of time before the season starts, but we are all so excited for the changes/upgrades to happen...

Bottom line...90's Wings weren't put over the top until they TRADED for Brendan Shanahan. 00's Wings weren't put over the top until they TRADED for Domink Hasek. Drafting and UFA gets you pretty far, but sometimes you have to make that impact trade...Bobby Ryan would be an acquisition that would be on par with Shanny and Dom... Let's make the 10's Wings over the top with a ball busting TRADE & some nice UFA's pick up's...

Anaheim likes Filppula, he would come in, be #2 center with Selanne on his wing. Filppula, Quincey, Mursak, 2nd for Ryan, Schultz. Columbus, nah, I just used Nash as another example...

I am not seeing people saying the Wings will be a lottery team...and even if Holland does nothing today, does't mean he won't tomorrow or September 30th... Tonight would just be a great stage to stamp his foot on and show the rest of the teams, they're back! He may not trade for Ryan, but everyone agree's HE MUST MAKE AN IMPACT THIS OFF SEASON or the Wings will have a serious problem this season...But it's early, really only the official start to the off season, July 1st is coming quick, but thus far, it's been the same old Holland. Holland had said that he is open to trades at the draft if the right deal presents itself... I just hope that he is not hanging on to Franzen refusing to trade him...Sure, I am not panicking, but would love to get orgasmic tonight with a mega-trade!

Although, I won't be hugely upset if Holland does nothing tonight, but this is a Grande Stage to show the NHL, "We mean business, we are not lying down!" Come on Kenny, use the stage as your's. Just remember though, 90% of LGW said Quincey was worth the 1st rounder...this is why I say let him walk, get the picks in return and have TWO 1st rounders next year and TWO 3rd rounders....Hell even if the average salary goes up and all he gets is a 2nd, that is TWO 2nd rounders...
