rwfan007 18 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 The Grifs are coming to play an exhibition game at the rink where I work. I was wondering if anyone had any info on what players should be playing and who to take note of. thanks for the help.
Barnes52 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 Depends on your cup of tea.....me? I'd be watching Brett Angel and Brett Carpentier, both big, surprisingly mobile tough guys who can play a decent shift...others? I'd watch Amadio, Bootland, and some of the try outs to see if there's anything there. Let us know your thoughts afterwards
norrisnick 1 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 On the other end of the spectrum is Michael Hackert. He just showed up in the Griffins' camp flying in from Germany where he was a pretty good scorer in the DEL. peace
WingMan56 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2005 There are only a handful of guys in camp that will actually even be on the Griffins this year..75% of their team is still up in Detroit. But I'd watch Himelfarb..he's small, but feisty. He hits, he's fast, he puts up points, he is amazing at faceoffs.

rwfan007 18 Report post Posted October 2, 2005 Grifs win 4-3 with Keller, Kopecky, Martens scored, and Helmer scored on a penalty shot. It was a good game, the Grifs started a little slow but finished well. Hudler and Bootland were scratches and didn't play...which sucked...I wanted to see them play. o well...good game and a grifs win (oh yeah, I got Jimmy Paek's autograph.) I think that they started fine and finished poorly. They had the 4-1 lead and let the Baron's pull within one at the end of the game. They need to learn how to finish if they want to have a better season than they did last year.
