One thousand and one ways to say goodbye to a thousand dollars.

Or if the Sens aren't as vicious, then only a paltry $800.

Meh, there was this thing that if you bought tickets for half of the Sens home games for '08, you got the tickets for like 50$ each. Still expensive but here in Ottawa its a once in a lifetime thing, lol.

Alright, I need to vent a little, and I don't like starting new topics unless I'm sure that they are worth starting so I figure that this place is as good as any! :P .

At 6:23PM (est) I made this comment in the GDT:

I hope that this storm doesn't interfere with watching the hockey game, if it does, I"ll be VERY ANGRY!

I then read a couple of posts until about 6:30 when I went to watch The Simpsons, the sky blue as could be, after sitting through about 8 minuets of my local weather man telling me that it was going to rain  I finally got to watch the rest of the show. The show got over and it had started to darken up outside and the wind picked up too and at almost 7:00PM exactly, BOOM! the power goes out. I figured three hours until game time, yeah that ought to be enough time to get this back online, no problem, NOPE...WRONG, 8:56PM rolls around still no power and I'm starting to weigh my options, being part of the new fangled high tech generation I have NO radios in my house that work with batteries :nonono: I'm only 18 so I'm not sure if they would let me in the bar being it such a late game or even if the local bars have power or cable so I'm a little apprehensive about doing that, I call up my Brother in law (who lives less then two mins away) and sure enough, he has power...BUT HIS CABLE IS OUT! so by now, its probably 9:10 just about the time the game starts I figure, so I finally face my fate, I run out, IN MY ZETTERBERG JERSEY, in the pouring rain to my car, I flip on the Accessories and tilt back the seat and tune in to 97.1 ( the Detroit station I assume?) I live near Lansing so to call the quality of the broadcast "bad" would probably be an overstatement, So I listened to the first period like this:

"Chr...Pronger...Shot...........Holmstrom...SCORRREEES!" So I have absolutely no idea what is going on I figured the way my luck was going that day that the Wings were down 2-0 after the first, So during the intermission I go inside to make a sandwich, and I finally get some good news, my brother in law calls up and says "Cables back on and the game is on at my place!" so I finish eating my sandwich, and drive over there to watch the rest of the game and needless to say that I was presently surprised to find out that it was the Wings that were up 2-0! and the rest is Histroy! I get back to my house after the game and still no power! it didn't actually come back on until about 12:00AM

Sorry about the long post, but I haven't been able to talk to anyone all day
