Thank you...

I found out a friend of mine was killed the day before yesterday. I think it's the first time I've had someone my age die. I was very shocked and sad.... still am, truth be told.

yeah, a few years ago my sister was in a huge crash in pennsylvania that killed 4 people. Luckily she made it out with only a cut lip. Her friend's mom was in the front seat and broke her hip.

There have been quite a few people who have passed away that I went to high school with, but I didnt really know any of them. I think by far the hardest death I have ever had to deal with though is my friends 8 month old son....

My friends went out to get pizza and some drunk guy that had ran into the wall of a McDonalds earlier that day hit them head on.

Thanks guys. I'm just kind of shocked. I've known this guy since kindergarten, literally. It is weird because the day he was killed I was talking to someone about how we worry about people who are over in Iraq, and stuff, but I didn't know that he was killed over there until the next day. I'm sad.

I'm so sorry Jen. That must be so hard to digest. *hug* Lemme know if I can do anything for you.

Thanks. I'm trying to stay positive. There's nothing anyone can do in this kind of situation, I just am lucky to be alive, because you do never know. I had another friend (who was older than me, but still younger than I am now) die in a motorcycle accident a few years back.

You feel sad and know you will miss the people, but you feel really bad for the family. So, I'm just waiting to know about the funeral and everything. In a way I feel guilty feeling sad because me and my family are OKAY, you know? It just shows you that you never know...

But on the bright side, I'm very proud of him, because I know he was doing something that he believed in and something that not everyone has the fortitude and courage to do. It makes me feel like I need to be braver in the decisions I make in my life. It definitely gives you perspective.

No, it's okay. I was actually a lot worse yesterday. Today, I'm calm but sad...keeping myself busy. I think I killed this thread...I didn't mean to. We need more happiness here, guys. Cheerful stuff is the only way to get through the bad stuff....
