It was really good. I thought the blood was done artistically just like the rest of the movie I know what you mean though. I actually thought it was too gory and it wasn't necessary to be so...and definitely more reminiscent of the old school Tim Burton films. I liked the scene 'By the Sea' though it was more like Big Fish or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I love Johnny Depp in that scene...hilarious without saying a word.

Spoiler:

The end made me sad, I thought Todd and mrs. Lovette were a cute couple lol. But I understand why they both had to die...like Sweeney Todd said, everyone deserves to die either because they are wicked or need relief from the wicked, so you knew he was gonna die..still. I thought he was going to kill his daughter.

Yeah I know what you mean too. I loved the By the Sea scene too haha. I really liked the movie overall. there were points where the music was too loud to hear them singing though. BUt I dont know if that was just my theater. I already knew the whole plat and everything because we had watched a video of the broadway production in my theater class. I would love to find that production of it, because It was realllllly good. With Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett and George Hearn as Sweeney Todd.

I thought the music was okay, but yeah. I have also seen hte version of Sweeney Todd you are talking about but it was so long ago I couldn't really remember what happened. I thought Helena Bonham Carter was hilarious in it too.

good news...my results came back today and all the cells are gone! :)

Yay

yeah I saw the older version of the two right at the time they announced they were filming the new one. so it wasnt too long ago. Helena Bonham Carter was really good in the role. I loved her haha. and even though I dont care for Johnny Depp (yes I am a girl who isnt in love with him!!! how scandalous haha) I thought he did a really good job in the movie as well. I think he felt a little too distant though. I know he is supossed to be all preoccupied with

going after the judge and getting his daughter back

but I think he seemed too disconnected. if that makes any sense
