Let me explain: I purchased it (maybe my mom bought it) in the fall of '95, before there was an Avs/Wings "history." After the '96 Western Conference finals it was relegated to undershirt duty. It somehow developed into a "lucky" undershirt (who knows how these things happen). When the Wings play the Avs I wear it under my Larry Murphy jersey, crazy I know (this combos most amazing performance, games 6 & 7 of the 2002 Western Conference finals). Hmmmmm, well if its worn for superstition purposes only, then who am i to knock on that. I have tons of wings superstitions, have to sit in a certain spot, ect... And when they do make it to the stanley cup finals... I bake! yes i know weird, but 97, was a cake, 98 was cupcakes, and 02 was brownies. And all of them had purple octopuses on them. I like knowing where im going before i get there, which roads to take to get there, the whole shabang. Pretty much in my world, detours suck major balls.
