dallas27 7 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 Today is definatley a low point in my life... You can switch places with me and have real problems, because being dumped isn't one of them. Unless your dad has told you that his future at his job is up in the air and we have to keep the house, so I put two and two together. You're 17, you don't even know what a low point in your life is yet... And I hate to break the news to you, not gonna be the last time someone dumps you Sorry if I am a tad harsh, don't take too kindly to the woe is me thing. YOU dumped HER. Yet you are going cry to the general public about being single? Seems to me you brought that upon yourself there, kidd-o. If you didn't want to cry about being single you shouldn't have dumped her. You get taken seriously when you act like an adult, and not like you do on this board majority of the time. No curse words either, I'll wash your mouth out with soap. Nevermind, I can't. Child Services will come and take you away from me. Which is why I have lost faith in all humans under the age of 21. Can't spank your kid anymore. Children now have some f*ed up perception of what reality is because parents can't properly discipline their kid. Children seem to think they can get whatever they want or do whatever they want simply because their parents have to allow them to otherwise they are labeled bad parents to the general population because they discipline their kid. And on top of that, how do you expect people not to comment on something you post for the general public to see? Sorry, again if I'm harse, I'm a fan of brutal honesty. dallas27 7 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 Who pissed in your Cheerios? Hey uk_redwing...sorry. It's a s***ty situation to be in. Nobody. But in this case UK is freaking 17. I wish I was 17 and the one of the worst things that happens to me is being single. I would pay to be 17 and have that problem.
dallas27 7 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 I'm 19, you gonna paint that broad brush and assume I have no idea what discipline is? I didn't say all faith. And it certainly isn't a broad brush. You're fooling yourself if you don't think majority of the kids nowadays have everything given to them and it makes them much worse off. My sister just turned 20. In all reality she's still 15. She has no idea how to handle any situation. Media today doesn't help either. To lighten the mood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NvgLkuEtkA
dallas27 7 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 I also blame the lack of TGIFriday. Not the restaurant. Anyone 22ish-28ish knows. Corey Matthews anyone? Kody? I can still sing every theme song from every show on that line-up. TGIFridays was THE definition of life lessons. It should have been called WBYWLEYNTKAL. Or... Watch Because You Will Learn Everything You Need To Know About Life. Saturday mornings were important too, because obviously, Saved By The Bell. You want to have a real problem? Try having to hide all the clothes you are trying to sell from your principal because you almost maxed out your dad's credit card and you have to try and pay him back. That's a real problem. And Lisa and company handled it like champs.

lfd250 1 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 Aww diddums. You're all high and mighty cos you're a little older and think you have superior problems. Like I said, you dont know what you're talking about and you dont know anything about my life or what Im going through so stop making your pissy little comments and f*** off. You know what, every time something bad happens to you, you come here looking for a pitty party. Then when you don't get it, you go on the offenceive. You know what, right now there are lots of peoples lives that suck. Losing jobs, no money, and some are losing their families. You come here "oh life sucks I'm single again" if there's more too it then tell us and may be we won't be all over you. But let's see, according to you, you've gotten a new bike and went to iceland. You're 17 which you probably live at home still. Which means that you probably don't pay for shelter, food, or any bills that might go along with living at home. So yea, some of us are all over you. If you think you're life sucks now, wait, it can get worse. Move out, get a job, then when you say life sucks, I have no life right now, we'll go, yea, welcome to the real world we all know what you're going through. But for now, live it up while you're still at home and stop bitching.
Rivalred 630 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 (edited) Think it would be best that everyone let the current conversation go. What it comes down to is that someone always is worse off. Be happy with what you have and try to make the best of it. Everyone copes different while friends and family are for support. dallas27 7 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 Think it would be best that everyone let the current conversation go. What it comes down to is that someone always is worse off. Be happy with what you have and try to make the best of it. Everyone copes different while friends and family are for support. I'd rather get to the bottom of it. As lfd said if there is more to it other than him crying about being single than tell us, he is after all coming in here to get sympathy. If it's something serious then sure I'll talk about it, I'll give him all the sympathy he wants. I have absolutely no problem with that. But, again, as lfd said he comes in here always crying about how he is single again and he's looking for a pity party. So the kid didn't get it, and he starts to say I don't understand what's going on. Again, as lfd said, he's been to Iceland and got a new bike. Tough life. Also, if he wants to tell me to f(*& off, I'd rather his 4 foot nothing 90 lb ass fly to Michigan and say it to my face. Don't try to get my pity by just crying that your F-R-E-A-K-I-N-G 17 and single. Ohhhhhh booooo-hoooooooo. If that's the worst that is going to happen to him then I don't feel sorry for him one bit. If it's something more serious, than tell me. Everyone has problems. If they are real problems he would be more open to explaining the situation and not just telling me to f*&$ off and that I think I'm all high and mighty (which actually all my friends come to me for advice). It's not my fault the kid, and most people, can't take honesty and wants everything sugarcoated.
uk_redwing 495 Report post Posted November 1, 2008 When did I ever say being single was my problem? I have no problem being single. And im not looking for a "pity party" as you put it as how is that going to help anything? I made 2 completely independant comments that you've decided are related based on nothing. And as for the 4 foot comment...Im 6 foot 2 195lbs so I would gladly fly over to michigan and say it to your face...except I hope never to meet you as you seem to enjoy kicking a person (a very harshly treated person it seems) when hes down. Good for you. Does it make you feel superior enough to justify your age comments? Do you like bullying someone whos just found out his dad has cancer? Do you like bullying someone who is threatened to be kicked out of his house for money reasons? f*** your sympothy. I dont want it.

(My super sweet 16, the hills for example) but I don't think that saying that losing faith in everyone under 20 is exactly smart. You are right in saying standards have gone way down due to the way the society has become more and more secular (who cares if she looks and acts like a ****...free country and how dare you judge her for being herself) and it is sickening to think. I am just saying that don't think that all teens are immature douchebags. Take a drive during rush hour and I'm sure you know how much range in age there can be in douchebaggery. lfd250 1 Report post Posted November 2, 2008 UK- First of let me say, sorry to hear about your dad. Second You come here and post "Eugh, Im single again." then "Today is definatley a low point in my life... " What are we to expect? If ANYONE posted this, I would think that they are down because they are single again. Not to mention the number of times you've come here and said you are single again. Everyone knows someone that has delt with cancer, I myself have had 3 family memebers die from it, and have had three others beat it. We are a big family here and if you would just come and say Today sucks, I found out my dad has cancer. No one would be on you about it. We'd all be open to what you're going through and try and be there for you. Regaurdless of age. If you don't want to talk about it here, don't bring it up. As soon as someone posts, "I'm sad" we all want to know why. If you want to talk about what's going on with your dad, I'm all ears. It will be tough and hopefully he can beat it.
