OsGOD 3 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 (edited) I was going to get a new car, with my own money (I've been cut off for a while), but with Chrysler going down and my dad saying he doesn't know the future of his job (he works at Ford though) I'd rather save my money just in case my dad does lose his job. Sorta gotta keep the house. *edit* It can be tight if the down payment wipes your bank account out I feel your dads pain with the auto s***. I thought I could breath a sigh of relief after I survived my companies mass layoffs last month... Just to be thrown back under the bus with the whole possible GM/Chrylser Merger. Life sucks in Michigan for anyone remotely related to the Auto Industry. The way it looks now if i can hold on for a few more months I will be living in Sunny California working on Aerospace stuff with my friend. Then i Guess i will get to meet and greet all the RWNW crew and see games there. My home will be located just south of Disney Land which isn't all that bad really Left Coast Ho! wingnut22 81 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 yeah, I guess both the airbags went off and with all the smoke from that my dad thought the car was on fire. But it wasnt, thankfully. He said he couldnt breath for a bit and just kept coughing because of all the smoke and powder from them. He has a burn on his arm from the airbags. Seems like the other person caused it, they should have to pay. The airbags usually are loaded with as the same charge as a shotgun. It smells bad too. I guess she was wanting to turn left and across the traffic lanes to get to a parking lot. there was a red light so the car in the lane stopped back so she had room to cut across. so she just went and didnt look to see if cars were stopping in the other lanes. my dad couldnt see her, since it was a big truck that stopped to let her through and blocked him from seeing her. she told the cops, "the one guy stopped to let me through so I just gunned it to get across, I didnt even look" I guess the front was so smashed in that neither front door would open, he had to crawl into the backseat to get out. I am glad he is alright. Funny thing my friend got a ticket for being "that truck" and stopping to allow a car to cut accross. The cop said it was illegal to do because it causes accidents... Unless it was a one lane (in each direction) road. *srugs* at least insurance should cover it and with her being the cause it would mean your deductible will be waived...right? Thats how it was when I was in my car accident. I had to pay my $500 deductible to the repair shop, but the insurance company sent me a reimbursement check.
