If the Cavs can figure out how to win in Detroit you guys are toast. So much for Sheed's guarantee.....

BTW: that Dallas-San Antonio game last night was OUTSTANDING. I havent seen as good of a game as that in a LONG time. If only San Antonio could have finished the game out in regulation. They blew it big time.

Looking like it might be a Shaq v Dallas Finals.....thats right. Wade is healthy this year. The east goes through Shaq

The Pistons beat themselves the last two games. The Cavs have played the best two games they could have ever hoped for - and won with only 74 pts last night. The Pistons were absolutely dreadful - squandering multiple opportunites to win both games. Does this mean that the Cavs can't win the series? Not at all - but if they do if will only because of the poor play of the Pistons. They don't really have any excuse for losing to that team.

So the Heat advance to the Eastern Conference Finals with a 1 point win in Game 5. I’m a little worried, they will be well rested and if they face Detroit they will want revenge more than anything. Detroit needs to lift its game quite significantly if we’re to advance through the Playoffs. And can anyone beat Dallas? They are scary.

ROFL. Figures you would wait untill something like this happened to jump on the Pistons. Sucks that your Spurs are about to get eliminated.

It's so funny how everyone quickly jumps on the Pistons after they fall asleep for two games, this is no different from what they did last year. Besides Rip the Pistons shot 14-50 in game 4 AND ONLY LOST BY TWO POINTS. The Cavs are not beating the Pistons. Turnovers and a cold hand are beating the Pistons.

Let's see where you are at when the Pistons win the championship...

As long as Detroit has home court advantage nobody can beat them in a 7 game series. Detroit doesn't have to lift it's game. They have to stop getting bored out there resulting in stupid turnovers and settling for shots which happened the last two games. Over the past 2-3 years we have witnessed the Pistons getting bored after whooping on the opposition for the first two series and especially the first two games. This isn't anything new...just like everyone stating that the Pistons now longer have a chance because they threw away two games and the Heat this and the Heat that. The Pistons beat the Heat with ease this regular season and the only reason why they lost the one game is because of a fourth quarter snooze.

This team showed up for 82 games of the regular season and has now basically quit since the 4th quarter of game 2 - it's inexplicable. They are a far better team than the Cavs - they are simply beating themselves. I have to blame Saunders myself - if that guy can't coach this group of talent out of the second round vs. a far inferior team - he should be fired plain and simple. Well, they still have a shot at winning game 6 - but alas like the Red Wings, I haven't seen anything to make me enthusiastic about it. Where's Chauncy? :lookaround:

I'm starting to get very worried. I really want to know where the REAL Pistons went. Every single player on the team except Dice has played horrilbe. Where is Rip? Or Chauncey? Sheed- Let your play do the talking, and don't even get me started on Prince, who is by far the most inconsistant (not to mention overated) player on the team.

I'm furious, absolutely disgusted. I mean we set our franchise record for wins, ease into the Playoffs are we're playing like utter trash. It's no wonder Minnesota dumped Flip Saunders, what a joke he is. Facing elimination in the second round of the playoffs is unacceptable. I see Larry Brown is available…

Prince is only guy of the starting 5 showing up. Sheed is hurt - post mouth syndrome, Chauncy is a turn-over machine, RIP missed a few game winners (although he's been the 2nd best of the starting 5), and Big Ben can't hit a single free throw when the entire game/maybe series depended on it. Mcdyess was good tonight off the bench. The bench? Flip Saunders actually played someone off the bench? Where is Delk? I'd take either Carlisle or Brown over this guy - he looks just like Babcock out there - utterly confused and completely inept at making changes to fit the game/series - ugh.

Huh? Over the last few games Prince has been the best of the starting 5.

That may be true, but its still not saying much........

And I know we all love Ben to death here, but if he can't hit his free throws I think when we get to the 4th quarter we should sit him, and put in Sheed/McDyess. If Ben gets benched I guarensheed Ben's FT % will get higher pretty fast. (but then again I guess guarensheeds don't mean much anymore)

If Ben shots 25% from the line (which is pretty close to his playoff %), we would have probaly won the game

BTW...Does JohnoG post anymore?

All I can say is there has been some outstanding basketball played save for the Miami-NJ series. All of the series have been real competitive. The Dallas-San Antonio and Phoenix-LA series have been dynamic.

Dalls-San Antonio could easily be the NBA Finals this year with how well the two teams have played. Thats not to knock any of the other teams, thats just a reflection of the quality of basketball the series has produced IMO.

Still lots of hoop to be played out
