A couple of thoughts:

Everyone knows why we are trying to trade Datsyuk: He's a pain in the ass to sign, and Detroit doesn't think he performs in the playoffs.

SJ got a lot of heat for not showing up during the Edm series, so why would they want to trade Marleau for another guy who disappears in the playoffs.

Agree with it or not, Kronwall is building a reputation as being injury prone.

Grigorenko probably doesn't have great value because SJ has already lost 1 player to Russia and it looks like Grigs might also stay.

Lots of other reasons why this trade would be grounds for firing SJ's GM...

The best, most productive playoff performer in Sharks history is Marleau. He actually is one of the few who has "shown-up!" Multiple hat trick games in the playoffs.

Turretin was referring to Datsyuk as the guy who disappears in the playoffs. You mis-read his post.
