Oh man I remember 2 years ago talking about having Doan here...the arguement wasn't salary. It all came down to skill...Doan sucks, Doan is slow...Doan is overpaid, Doan is Wayne's pet. Whatever. Im with whomever already said it...its Spectors rumors until something goes down. The other thing is Holland has no idea what it is this organization or team needs. Also I would definetly not package Grigs on the deal. AND I highly doubt we could sag Lagy and Doan. We're not the only team struggling and from what I've heard here in a handful of weeks some deals that are already in the talks may go down.

You say what you want, Doan is still better than Pavel Datsyuk. Why? 1. He performs in the playoffs (Phoenix hardly ever makes it, but when they do he delivers). 2. He has more grit than Datsyuk. 3. He can perform at a high level even if he doesn't have Pavel Bure calibur players on his line. We all know Datsyuk doesn't do s*** unless he has franchise players on his line. There are other reasons too, but those are the three biggest.

Doan can probably be had for a decent price, but does Detroit have anything of value to offer? Grigorenko? He hasn't been the same since his car accident. Hudler? Invisible. McDonald? A third-stringer at best. Draft picks? Not enought o land someone of Doan's caliber -- other teams that could afford to get Doan probably have more to offer for him. Besides, Holland's a do-nothing kind of guy; I can hardly see him shaking things up at this point.

ya dont worry about it dude i got told off lots of time for suggesting we get guys like afinogenov and gaborik yrs ago , and got laughed at yrs back when i said we should of gotten belfour over cujo .......although belfour is done now i think its safe to say belfour had better yrs playin with toronto then cujo did with the wings

anyways man everyones always gonna have an opinion stick with your own regardless of what others say , on that note a guy like doan would be a huge + on our team but like you said its unlikely to happen since coyotes mostly got skill guys like us and not too many guys like doan

On a more serious note, even though we are only a 1/10 of the way into the season - I do think we need to consider some sort of shakeup. Coach? Players? GM?

The DOMinator is looking human. He doesn't strike the fear into opponent's like the Hasek of old. I'm not necessarily saying HE needs to go, but without offense up front, we're not going to win letting in 2 or 3 or 5 goals a night.

IMHO, that's what cost us the playoffs last year. Manny played as Manny - a 2 to 3 goal per game goalie. Our front lines needed to kick in 3 to 4 goals per game to win. Didn't happen. Right or wrong, better or worse, Manny took the fall for it.

Exactly, Dats isn't the "missing piece" to the puzzle for the yotes. I find it funny that fans think other gm's are going to give up one of there best players, best trade bait, and someone they stand to lose at the end of the season......for someone whom the fans have little to no faith in, having a slower start than expected, and stand a greater chance at losing at the end of the season. Rental for a rental? Makes zero sense from Coyotes side. If you want Doan, probably going to cost you more than just Pavel. And actually, having read that Wayneo wants to bring in "more grit" ....sorry I just laugh now whenever I hear it, hockey related or not......Dats makes even less sense.
