Detroit / Nashville in the standings...

nsh just got their asses handed to them tonight. funny how insignificant they truly are.

take away their freebies against the central, they are just 21-13.

And the Wings are 22-11-5 vs non-divisional opponents. Only 6 points better. Not a significant difference.

Nashville is probably due for a slump, they lost what, 2 in a row? Enjoy it while it lasts.

EDIT - NSH is 20-11-3 out of Central division 43 pts in 34 GP. DET is 22-11-5 for 49 pts in 38 GP. NSH got 63.2% of possible points, DET got 64.5% If the Wings happen to lose their next non-division game, they will fall to 62.2% of all possible points. The two teams are too close to call. Everything will be decided in the remaining head-to-head games.

Great scheduling by the NHL, figuring that the Central will come down to the Wings and Preds, and subsequently putting 6 of 8 games in the new year...

Seems like we'll have a playoff series against them before the playoffs even begin.

WOW!!

I don't know what's more impressive - your ability to find this thread or the ability to find a pic w/ Miller's "first goal as a Red Wing Puck." ~~~Assuming that's what that pic is....

Like I said, what one is more impressive........ ahahaha.

Yeah, but to the topic at hand. We are floating at the bottom of the playoff seeds and it's scary. I wasn't so scared a month ago when Franzen and Flip went down. Williams didn't scare me too much either. I thought with all new players they just needed time to develop chemistry.

Then we lost #55. It's thin ice.

Sure Nashville has been hot, but we better win this years series w/ them!
