"People don't underSCHtand.." :P

Complete PR move, although we loathe the Preds here, why wallow in Philly... I don't think the Preds will be able to sign him long term after this rental period though, thoughts?

that's what I was thinking about half-way through the video. what did he expect?

If he did want to stay in Philly, just because he could have doesn't mean he -would- -- they wanted to make a trade, he decided he wouldn't mind/would like one too. He accomodated their desire to get something, he in turn gets to be on a good team. Both sides in Philadelphia win. It doesn't stop there though.

The funny thing is that Fors is actually, so the rumor goes, a human being. Incredulous, right, but bear with me. So he's.. I hear.. equipped with emotions and can form attachments to places and people, and even funnier, is that when these attachments get disrupted even when he knows it ahead of time, he'll.. what's the word... be able to feel bothered by it? I know, I know, I don't believe it either, all you LGW loyal, but apparently espn is doing the coverage on this breaking side-story, so who knows.

But seriously. I'm not a fan of Forsberg, I don't see the need to villify him either though. He's just another guy. This is at least some part PR for Flyers fans, but I wouldn't be surprised if he feels the impact of changing horses mid-stream.

In other news, Grind Line 33 said it all, really.

Well, he had a no trade claus so if he didn't want to go he didn't have to go. In the video he's trying to make it sound like he had no choice in the matter. Plus, if we all remember Chelios really was upset when he left Chicago (of course he had been there longer than a year and a half too). I'm sure Forsberg will be fine.

Who wouldn't be unhappy with going to nashville.

1. Baby s*** yellow hockey sweaters.

2. Nothing but horrible country music non stop.

3. Fans who are more interested in watching cars drive in circles then seeing a fierce body check or a masterful one timer.

4. NON STOP COUNTRY MUSIC!

5. Sweden is some part of Russia to folks from Nashville.

Yeah, because everybody down South is either a country hillbilly or a Cajun coon ass.

Give me a break.

I understand what you're saying, I'm not trying to villify him. I just think is't strange some of his comments considering he gave the go-ahead for this.

Grind Line 33 did say it all, I agree. We may have only seen 1/10th of the press conference. This will backfire on the Preds, even if you wanted him on the team the price was simply too high for an older forsberg.

Forberg no longer seems to be totally about the money. He actually seemed loyal to Philly.

Take note. Loyalty on a team is important. We have lots of it in Detroit.

Remember how Cujo felt about leaving the Maple Leafs. Of course he was excited about coming here, but first he showed lots of emotion over leaving Toronto.
