Sheldon looks like he could be heading west

Wow...being a tiebreaker away from the 8th playoff spot this move would come as a bit of a surprise.

But realistically the Habs will only go as far as Huet takes them.

If he doesn't come back that pretty much sinks them...imo.

Eklund is saying the same thing. Similar looking to the Forsberg deal, I am thinking. I'll give Eklund this: he seems to be usually right the day of. Any other time, he's throwing darts.

If indeed it's SJ, here's my prediction as to the price: Matt Carle, prospect, and a 2nd.

I also saw this on Eklund, quite interesting if you ask me, Souray would shore up the blue line for a strong playoff run. Where does that put us with the Guerin, Bertuzzi, etc. could we see one of two things happen, we nab Souray and trade for Guerin or Bertuzzi, maybe we get all three. Think of the possibilites, also isnt Schneider a UFA after this year maybe after the season is over we resign Souray and let Schneider walk. Things are getting interesting these last 7 days or so before the deadline, what are all your thoughts.

This one really doesn't make any sense to me. Montreal could very easily make the playoffs. Souray is one of the best young defensemen. With Huet out, it seems like they'd want him more than ever. I certainly wouldn't mind obtaining him, but we already have one of the strongest defenses in the league. The only way I could see this making remote sense for Montreal is if they receive more than one already-playing-in-the-NHL defensemen or perhaps Robert Lang and an NHL ready defenseman. They certainly don't have enough depth to give up a defenseman without getting one back.
