"The Kings shipped their off captain, along with forward Konstantin Pushkarev and third and fourth-round picks in 2007 in exchange for defenceman Jaroslav Modry, prospect Johan Fransson, second and third-round picks in 2007 and a 2008 first-round selection"

per TSN...

Dallas looks much stronger now. Especially when Morrow gets back.

Norstrom is a great player, and any team *cough Red Wings* cough would be lucky to have him, so in that sense Dallas has a great top 3 on D. THAT BEING SAID, Defense wasn't really the problem in Dallas...they lack primary scorers...Modano and Lindros are shells of their formerselves and while Lehtinen and Morrow are good supplementary scorers, they aren't front liners like they are asked to be....Ladislav Nagy isn't either. At the end of the day Dallas just traded away more picks for something they are already good at...The Stars won't be going anywhere this post-season, Turco or Smith in net . Mark that one down .

Dalls got a lot stronger IMO however, Turco is just like Legace and Cujo in the playoffs.

Dallas does not scare me one bit. Turco is bad in the playoffs. He is terrible against us. If we see them in the playoffs which I doubt we will, we will beat the absolute hell out of them.

I agree with your assessment on Dallas, however, I'm not too fond on our chances going into the playoffs until today when we added come grit :hehe:

Tippett gives Turco 2 games from the start of the playoffs and if he sucks again he'll do a Carolina-exchange and make Smith their number one.

Any chance of this happening?

He ought to give Smith a lot of starts down the stretch if that's his gameplan. I highly doubt that.

I will call Holland, so that he may furnish an apology--to you and seemingly many others--for not picking up every last appealing player on the trade-deadline market.

I suppose it would be nice to have 10 starting-quality defensemen and 16 first-line forwards. Why oh why didn't you do that, Holland? You could have drawn on our 145 top prospects, 300 first-round draft picks, and $150m of cap space.
