I'm not saying the guy's great (or even good) here, but let's be realistic. He'll blow sunshine up our asses every chance he gets, that's his job. I realize that, but it's quite another to say something completely contrary to what's blatantly obvious. I would've preferred he just say that they voted and didn't have the majority necessary. To say that there was no better alternative is an insult to the fans who can read 50 sources online that refer to the alternative plan the owners were voting on. same goes for his denial about clutching and grabbing for years. he just kept saying fans love the game.
