Rabi... on that day, Bert will destroy Preds on a swath of destruction unrivaled by any this season. Don Cherry himself will crap his pants when watching the highlight reels.

And I am still not yet prepared for the fallout that'll come! It'll be DY-NO-MITE! :yowza:

BERT IS MY HERO, not Rabs :P and she knows it ;)

you wrote not us.

If think aside from your caveman like English, that you were trying to say that he's the one [the Predator fan] who said it. Well it was obvious he didn't mean it literally, but of course someone like you would come along and throw a cheap shot in there, even when you know damn well the poster wasn't being serious. Nashville fans are very passionate fans from what I can tell. For people like you to feel that you're better just because your team has had a great history, doesn't warrant you to feel like you're a better person than them, or feel that the opposing fan base is ignorant to the NHL.

Had a great time at the game. The crowd was pumped up and the game was pretty intense. Lots of physical play and some end to end play. At one point, I noticed Nashville sending 3 forecheckers into the Detroit zone. Now that's hockey! None of this trapping horsesh**.

Very impressed with the Calder-Lang-Hudler line. Lang may be slow, but he's almost impossible to get off the puck once he has it. His stick looks seven feet long sometimes when he protects the puck from the defender. He got a little sloppy at times, but the three of them work together really well. Hudler was great.

Hasek came up huge. I couldn't believe the scoring chances Nashville got in the first period. If not for Hasek standing on his head, no way are they even in that game.

Hell of a game, really enjoyed it. The Preds battled HARD. Similar to a playoff game.

Yea...I get it...people are always going to throw around those stereotypes. But yea, there are Wings fans coming to our boards pulling the "redneck/hick" bulls***. I don't know if they are members of these boards, nor do I care. But I'm just asking for the same respect that I would show you if you came to talk about hockey on the Nashville boards. I just wish you wouldn't judge me or my knowledge of hockey based soley on where I reside. I don't think it's too much to ask. I would think that you all would like to hear from other fans just to spice things up, but maybe I'm wrong. It just seems dull to me, to only here the opinion of your team's fans. I always enjoy other fans coming to the Nashville boards to talk hockey. But having to wade through all the stereotypes and other bulls*** can be quite a deterrent.

it's stupid and senseless. you won't see me making comments like that. but like i said, it's not going to change. sorry, but it's the way it is. you'll just have to ignore them, and wade through them and find decent, insightful posts. i'm glad to have other fans here. it's always good to get new perspectives. so please don't let it deter you, but i can almost guarantee, as the detroit nashville rivalry heats up, these comments will unfortunately become more heated and prevalent. unfortunately you're just going to have to deal with it.

Glad you had a great time!

Lang's line was absolutely great tonight! You're definitely right about it being impossible to get him off the puck, same goes for Calder! And then there's little Rex with those great hands that tie and win us the game.

Did you get yourself a rally towel?! Those looked awesome tonight! Any idea why they had them for this game? What did it say on it? I am so interested! LOL

It was nice to see Hasek come back with a really strong game.

As he regularly does after a tough outing. Hasek's game was never in doubt from puck drop to the final horn.

MAN that line is kicking ass.

Some subtle compliments for our dearest pal Bob, perhaps? :P

Awesome win. Rex is a Pred killer, for sure. Keep this guy up. It's almost like you can just plug any guy in with Lang and Calder--Franzen, Sammy, Rex. We've got good chemistry on this squad, that's for sure.

Seriously. Red Wings rule the world. Behold as they descend from high Olympus, on chariots of gold, striding alongside the very gods themselves!

Yep, I got my towel. It reads:

Join the Red Wave

March To The Playoffs!

No idea why they picked this game. Always nice to get a souvenir, though!

I give the First Star to the towels.

Towels are 10 times better than those thunder sticks. The game I was at last year they handed them out to everyone. No one really used them. Bud Lynch had to encourage us to bang 'em together.

The thought of Budd Lynch encouraging 20,000 people to bang their sticks together has really made this night even better.

Personally, though, I think the handing of pom-poms, thunder sticks, towels, tamborines, etc. is a little too expansion team for me, especially during the regular season.
