Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 God, this game pissed me off. I have no nice things to say about anyone or anything right now. Grrrrr.
Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 Anyone think Maltby might be the healthy scratch come playoff time? Played less than 10 minutes tonight, only more than Ellis and Langfeld. Hudler played 14+ and Filppula almost 16. Maltby might be the odd man out.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 I cant understand why people are so worried about this. 1. Calgary played their BEST hockey. 2. Detroit played AVERAGE hockey 3. They only lost by one goal 4. They battled through terrible officiating 5. All of this with a depleted offensive corps.
rwfan007 18 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 Well another poor west coast trip. At least they get Columbus on Thursday at home. Bertuzzi's due back and Cleary that game aswell. 1 point behind Nashville with 9 games remaining easch and 1 against each other. Should be a tight finish. cleary is most likely on saturday
Wings_Rule_1010 4 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 On the bright side, at least we aren't 0-9-1 in our last ten (unlike edmonton)... sorry, trying to be optimistic
Aki 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 we're 0-2 on this 2 game roadtrip.. one word: pathetic!
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 (edited) Dom played amazing though, and Dats and Calder were fantastic. Pretty good for a team that's half crippled by injuries and horrid reffing I don't disagree. Those three players are the ones I said all game long were the only ones out there. Too bad Calder and Dom didn't each score a goal, huh? Edited March 21, 2007 by puckloo39
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 Ummm wings are in a weak division and seriously the wings are done in the 1st round. By that token, Nashville will be swept out of the first round. We have a better record against Nashville than against Columbus. Im not worried.
T-Ruff 47 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 On the bright side, at least we aren't 0-9-1 in our last ten (unlike edmonton)... sorry, trying to be optimistic 0-10-1* in last 11 now.....
rwfan007 18 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 yeah, dom needs to shoot more, jumpstart this offense somehow...
Guest Tunbo Batman Report post Posted March 21, 2007 Seriously, can't you see that calgary is a vastly superior team? They have more speed, more grit, more talent, more desire to win, better fans, better EVERYTHING than the Wings. ...and it sure has shown a lot these last 16 years
Guest DetroitBoy313 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 I cant understand why people are so worried about this. 1. Calgary played their BEST hockey. 2. Detroit played AVERAGE hockey 3. They only lost by one goal 4. They battled through terrible officiating 5. All of this with a depleted offensive corps. 1.You usually have to play your best hockey to win, that's why you play 2.The losing team usually didn't play better than the team that won. 3.You win in the 7th game of the SCF by one goal YOU WIN THE STANLEY CUP. 4.Excuses. 5.Other guys should step up.Face it BERT OR HANK are not going to be 100% when they come back. datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 this game was a little too reminiscent of the 04 playoffs. i seriously don't want to face a western canadian team in the playoffs this year. they just plain out work us and keep us to the outside all night. their forcheck is amazing. wingslogo19 281 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 Wings have a great chance of winning the cup.. Lets stay positive here no reason to hit the panic button

datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 By that token, Nashville will be swept out of the first round. We have a better record against Nashville than against Columbus. Im not worried. we are better equiped for nashville's style of play. the flames give us fits, we aren't built to compete with such a tough hard working team. Seriously, I thought I was looking through a time machine into 2004. Hey guys, clutching and grabbing are back! Yuck, what an awful game. I seriously can't think of a single good thing about this one. I'll be happy to forget it, that's for sure.
Guest Tunbo Batman Report post Posted March 21, 2007 If only the Wings had all those great stars the Flames have, and the coaching, they could win playoff rounds....
RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 I said going in to these two games against Vancouver and Calgary that they were to be much bigger tests than the home-and-home with Nashville. The Red Wings failed the test. Anybody who isn't worried about the Red Wings in the playoffs really just isn't looking at this clearly or hasn't learned this lesson already. Talk about injuries and talk about officiating all you want, the Wings are not currently in the position to win a seven-game series with a team like Vancouver or Calgary. rwfan007 18 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 its hard to get any kind of flow going when your team is constantly warming up the penalty bench...
Barrie 900 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 See this is the reason why I don't want the Wings to win the division. Let Nashville face Calgary in the 1st round. I'm happy playing either Dallas or San Jose.
KrazyGangsta 79 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 The wings were playin so sloppy tonight ... i was suprised ... anyways at least it wasnt the playoff game i think the only wing that was giving his 100% was Calder
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 I don't think the people on here that are all doom and gloom realize how absolutely pathetic they sound. GET REAL. They freaking lose two games in a row and they go from being the best to now being awful and not good enough for the playoffs? Are you guys kidding me? It's people like some of you on here who give us Wings fans a bad name. Either stick with the team through it all or STFU. A loss is a loss. It's going to happen. That's just the way the game goes and if you guys can't handle watching them lose then don't watch them at all.
