Good point, I'm planning a final shave for tomorrow in that case. I cut corners last year, tried to grow a classy-looking beard and it didn't work obviously. Not touching anything with a razor, period. Good news is that I outdress everyone at work, so I'll probably be given some slack on the whole looking like a Geico caveman thing.

Well I am glad somebody made a thread on this, well since I am a metal head. I have had my playoff beard for quite some time, but I am going to shave it, not all of it, but trim it up nice, and then let it go. My fiance is not shaving her legs as well. I know the rest of you will love to hear that, since its been disgussed. Bring on the playoff hair.

Maybe he's been growing another injury beard while he's been out of the lineup. He'll have a huge headstart and no one will be able to catch up.

And TheLegend19, if she can't appreciate your playoff beard for what it is, she's probably not worth it.

I see where your coming from by not being worth it. However, this girl is definitely worth every ounce of effort I've put into it (which has been more than usual since she's transferring to OSU next year and I am a diehard Michigan fan). I don't want to give her any reason to stop talking to me.

I sadly think I am going to have to withdraw from the playoff beard trend this season in the best interest of my love life, which has become more pathetic than the Blackhawks.

Oh I am for sure growing my playoff beard. Trimmers or razors will not touch my face till they are hoisting that Cup. Or obviously if they get knocked out(not gonna happen). The gf wont like it. But has that ever stopped me before?

Speaking of that. Does anyone remember back in the Stanely Cup finals in 2002 versus Carolina when Shanahan, while he was in the penalty box, mocked one of the hurricanes fan for not shaving her armpits. He did the whole mock armpit shaving. Quite funny.

(FWIW, I've been sporting a trimmed down beard since the holidays... I've done that the last few years and it just gets trimmed up in a week or so again anyway... So maybe it's bad luck?)
