Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 (edited) If you could pick one utility player on the Wings to get hot during the Wings v Flames series who would it be? This does not include Dats, Hank, Bert, Homer, Calder, Lang, or a D-man. 3rd and 4th liners ONLY. I choose Franzen. If he is on top of his game he is a force to be reckoned with. He drives the net, throws big hits, has sfot hands, and plays in front of the goalie. A hot Franzen is the kind of player the Flames may underestimate and that could hurt them severely. Viperar 16 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 Cleary....i think his goal scoring abilities, when hot are incredible, as we saw during the reg season, i think franzen has more probability of stepping up, he works harder
Rice 42 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 I agree. Franzen.

rick zombo 3,739 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 I think the Franzen - Filpulla - Sammuelson line (if that is in fact the combo) could really do some damage as a third or forth line. And trust me, it will take heroic play form the #3 and #4 lines to win. As it always does. Depth matters!!!!!!!!!!!
Icer 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 i would have to go with Mcarty. He always seems to pick it up in the playoffs. McCarty was out of the lineup for almost 4 months before Sunday's game with a sports hernia. His season stats are 0 goals and 0 assists. Talk about playing a long shot. Covenant 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 What line is Langkow on for the Flames.. I know he's speedy, but he always seems a step ahead of the Wings when he's on the ice. Not very relevant but Draper while a "dark horse" per se, but we'll need him to be at his best I believe.
Mighty Wings 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 Jiri Hudler. My gut tells me he'll surprise the flames.

Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 Cleary and Franzen , both are top 6 wingers on a team with 9 players that are able to be top 6 wingers

Vincanni 1 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 I actually think Sammy's not gonna dissapoint, he's pretty streaky and he did end the season with a 5 point game. I hope more than anything he can carry that streak through at the very least game 1, especially if Bert's out.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 Jiri Hudler. My gut tells me he'll surprise the flames. Im starting to think Hudler may be this years Fernando Pisani and really be the poster child for the new NHL. There is just something about this kids drive that makes me think hell do some damage in the playoffs.
Salviaman 104 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 My heart tells me Draper but my gut tells me Franzen. They are room mates, but sometimes they dont get along so I will have to go with my gut and say Franzen.

Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 i gotta go with the "little ball of hate mk2" Jiri Hudler Hardly. Beeker could probably stare at someone and scare them more than Hudler.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 10, 2007 I just dont think Hudler would do well agasint the Phaneufs , and Regehrs Calgary has. H'es gonna need some sick moves and some blazing speed , but if he can do both of that , he can make Phaneuf look foolish
