My Man Pavel Datsyuk

If anyone here knows me it's that I've always been a HUGE supporter of Pavel Datsyuk. I've stuck with him through thick and thin and I knew all those playoff games without a goal wasn't from his lack of heart or trying.

I was very glad to see that my loyalty to him was proven correct last night.

All of you Datsyuk doubters should be able to learn something from me.

Good day.

I figured someone would say something like this after Game 1. It's not like people weren't cheering for him, we were just getting tired of him not producing in the playoffs. If he was going to continue to not produce, then it would have been better if he moved on.

I'm glad he's playing well, because we're a better team when he's scoring goals. I hope it continues.

Another great game from him, was a little scary when he got clipped by phaneuf though, he looked a little disoriented i hope he's ok.

yea, Phaneuf gave him an elbow to the face...did it really sneaky so the refs didn't even notice. Anyone else starting to hate Phaneuf? He has sucked this series though so I hope he continues to.

I knew that Datsyuk would be alright. He is such a smart player, and he has so much talent. He is a great addition to the red wings. I was so mad when he got clipped by Phaneuf and there was no call. I'm sure he's fine though, Datsyuk is tough.

Don't know if anyone caught Melrose on ESPN the other night but he thinks Datsyuk will lead the NHL playoffs in scoring.

Well, it would be amazing if Melrose were actually right for once! Dats has come into his own in a big way. It is kind of sad that so many gave up on him (look at my posts, I never did), because he had a unique combination of insane skills plus about zero of an ego. It was just a matter of time for him to figure out how to take a leading role that fit with his personality. Shanny was right. I can't wait for Zetterberg to get the same kind of long term contract. These two are destined to be the core of the Wings for years to come. It's only going to get better people. No way but up with these guys. Go DATS!!!!
