redandwhiteforever 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 Ever since Phaneuf had that hit on Datsyuk, it seems he hasn't been the same. Looks like he doesn't want to hold on to the puck for long, am I the only one noticing this? My friend and I were talking about it and he said he thinks Pavel is scared after that hit. I'm not really buying that but it seems something is up.

larionov_8 12 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 Some of the CBC announcers have suggested he is hurt. They were talking about him earlier this game and happened to show him speaking to the trainer after he got bumped a few tiimes. Not that this means he is hurt of course; and if he is, he's looked good enough to suppose that its minor.

Pucker 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 He does seem to be a little gun shy after that hit. I dont think it was a bad hit, but it was definitrly a high shot. Maybe he is "shell shocked".

Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 He's fine. He had a few good chances so far today. His line is a little cold right now because they play against Cal's best D.
The_Cub 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 He was just probably trying to make sure nobody tried to kill him "Oggie Oglethorpe" style. He's fine. He had a few good chances so far today. redandwhiteforever 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 definetely came back with a strong 3rd period, loved seeing him lean in to Phaneuf and knock him down. Also had a nice pass to Zetterberg on the PP and scored. I'm thinking Holmstrom should be swapped for someone else on the dats/zets line, he doesn't seem to be clicking out there with them

redandwhiteforever 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2007 A goal and an assist isn't good enough for you? this was made at the 1st period before he got 2 points, and I wasn't the only one noticed he seemed off, CBC also talked about it he obviously had a strong finish to the game, even nailing Phaneuf

Playing tentative in the playoffs and allowing yourself to be kept to the perimeter = no big goals in tight defensive games.
Pskov Wings Fan 71 Report post Posted April 22, 2007 Dats only played 14 minutes in the last game and was moved to the wing. I can understand move to the wing but I am not sure what to think about his ice time.

I noticed that too, I don't think he got much ice time on the PK
dicksmack 33 Report post Posted April 22, 2007 What hit? the elbow from what's his name? What a joke... Pavel laughed it off. His two points tonight were his usual elite stuff... I thought #3 was the one who looked stunned after Cleary clearly rocked him. Flames are bush league.
