They reminded me of the Calgary flames in game 1 of our series this year, just no passion, no intensity, no nothing. ANd with everything on the line too, what a shame. They just embarassed themselves. The Sens were just flying right past them and the Devils could do little more than fall down and...that was about it. Matvichuk is being diplomatic, "We thought we'd be in good shape with Lou behind the bench...but you can't blame the coaching staff, it's the players on the ice that need to get it done." True, but the Devils haven't looked champion-calibre since Julien got fired. Not a coincidence, I think. Murray's got his press conference going right now. You expected the DEVILS to score 4 goals, Marty? And looking at the Vezina candidates, I love the fact that three out of the four are already out of the postseason (with Lundqvist being the only one still standing). Another brilliant bit in the post-game...Ken Daneyko and, uh, the other guy (forget his name) mentioned that they thought Elias hadn't totally recovered from all his injuries/illnesses/etc. So then they call Elias into the studio and start right off talking about that. They are lthe lamest NHL concession ever (slightly edging out NSH because they were around longer). Bye bye trap, boring style, and OVEROVEROVEROVEROVERf***INGBLOWN goaltender. The guy was so subpar, its getting funny. They had to pretend he was hiding an injury to justify his piss poor performance, how low can you get? Good riddance.
