Yzermania19 1 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 (edited) Those people came for the ceremony and all the commemorative handouts, then left. Sad and disgusting, really. Edited May 11, 2007 by Yzermania19
Matt 1,049 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 Those people came for the ceremony and all the commemorative handouts, then left. QFT. We were sitting in the 7th row and the 6 seats in the row in front of us (all suits) got up and left as soon as they started packing up the dias on the ice. glasgowcelticwing 18 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 Those people came for the ceremony and all the commemorative handouts, then left. Sad and disgusting, really. That's disgraceful , I mean we all know that the corporate's going to game's that they're not even intrested in is a joke. But to leave early in game that's honouring one of the greatest Red Wings and hockey players ever. Is absolutely disrespectful and totally sickening.
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 Yep, there were more people there during the ceremony than during the game.

Matt 1,049 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 Am I an idiot? What does the Yzerman retirement night have to do with NHL Frozen moment 5/10? Notice the patches on the Wings' sweaters. (The photo is from January 2nd.)
SweWings 45 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 WHAT THE HELL!?! If I actually was heading a corporation showing "support" for a team I'd make damn sure that I was actually there supporting...
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 I was there that night, but my seat was empty in that picture. I wasn't feeling well so we just stayed for the Stevie ceremony, not the game. Weird, I know.
Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 (edited) Yes, I understand it was Yzerman's retirement ceremony. I watched just like everyone else - great night. I just didn't get what Frozen Moments 5/10 meant. First I thought it was a date - which is what confused me since his retirement would have been 1/2, but I gather now that it is number 5/10 in something called Frozen Moments? Correct? Silly me.
