i heard a while back the oilers werent happy with lupul and wanted to deal him ....hes proved in the past he can be a 30 goal scorer, so if the oilers are dumb enough to trade him then why not package hudler ( since there not gonna play him anyways cause hes too small ) and put in meech since the oilers need help on defence and we most likely wont have a spot for him next season

heres the profile page of lupul

what are your thoughts ??

Assuming we keep Schneider and Markov, this would be a great trade. Lupul did struggle this year, but he's still a great player, and could really revive himself here.

I'm not too keen on giving up Hudler, but to be fairly honest, I just don't see him making it here. I always get the feeling Babcock and Hudler don't exactly see "eye-to-eye". I don't know much about Meech, but he really looks like more of a depth defenseman anyways. The Wings have enough defensemen as it is. I wouldn't mind packaging him for Lupul, since we would get a great player in return, and we can keep Schneider and Markov or sign Cory Sarich, and not have to risk losing Meech on waivers for nothing.

I like this trade really. Do you just think this up, or has this actually been rumored somewhere?

i seen it on tv a few times that the oilers were dissapointed with lupul this year and they might look to trade him ( which would be stupid) , there pissed at the bad year they had i guess and are looking to make some changes

I'd do that in an instant.

Im not too keen on Hudler. Lupul could do well in Detroit

i'd do it only cause unfortunetly i dont think he will get a fair shot here , which i dont think is fair at all cause hes shown he deserves a spot on the team ....plus i dont think meech if he does in fact have to clear waivers next season to go back to the ahl will have a spot here , and someone will definetly pick him up , lupul had an off season this yr and i still think hes got what it takes to be at least a 30 goal scorer , and if in fact edmonton is dumb enough to trade him id go after him

i know grigorenko is a rookie and some of you dont expect him to be on the top 2 lines but my hope is that hes gonna be so good they'd put him with datsyuk and split up zetterberg so we have 2 amazing scoring lines ( im sorry but if datsyuk cant play without zetteberg then he doesnt deserve all that money)

if we got lupol id love if our lines looked like ....

bertuzzi zetterberg holmstrom

lupul dastyuk grigorenko

samuelsson filppula franzen

cleary draper maltby/kopecky

Watched him play all year here in Edmonton, and there is not one single player i was more frustrated with. He seemed lazy and uninterested.

To me thats the LAST thing the Wings need, someone who needs to work on there determination.
