Dude, Grapes is the best sports commentator on TV, anywhere. He knows a ton about the game, and his opinions are always wild enough to get everyone either really angry at him or to passionately agree with him.... Or maybe just laugh at him, but that works too.

A lot of you guys hate him, but 95 per cent of the time, you've got to admit he's right.

I'd give it 50%...at best. But he is entertaining, no matter how hair brained some of his comments are.

dom, of any goalie playing, probably uses the least equipment. he looks very thin out there, and while he is only 165lbs, still he could look bigger. he's the last guy to ***** about wearing big padding.

Maybe they aught to challenge his glove size during the game. Remember "stickgate" in 2002 when Hartley/Avs challenged Dom's stick length? They stopped the game and measured it, gave it back to him, at which point he blanked them for almost two whole games, culminating with the 7-0 slaughtering in game 7? Worked for us last time.....

My opinion on Grapes changes everytime I see him , At times I think he's a dumbass and other time's I think he 's hockey genius. One way or another , he's always entertaining.

He's ok when the Wings aren't involved. Though I do admit, last night he was pretty good. Must have got into the Molsons a tad early since he wasn't ranting on the Wings.

I pretty much agreed with most of what Cherry said. I just had a problem with what he said about Hasek, making it seem like he had a cake-walk last game. Yes he saw many shots, but he also came back with some huge saves as well.

I think he could have said more about Perry, Perry is a punk and doesen't belong talking crap and threating people. I would love to see Big Bert get his hands on that little weasel.

I know that stuff goes on a lot in the league but it was dumb for Versus to air that comment for all the young players watching hockey and looking up to all the Pros, a guy like that shouldn't be looked to for a role model. I didn't expect Don Cherry to stick up for Sammy and Datsyuk because they are not Canadian players but he should have pointed out threats are not a part of hockey and they don't belong in the game. Clean checks and clean fights yes, but cheap shots and threats no.

The Perry thing was just for fun, a little trash talk he knew they'd pick up on the mic. Everyone lighten up already. This stuff is fun, enjoy it. And everyone can stop playing the disrespect card, too. If a guy doesn't write a poem singing the praises about the Red Wings, he's labeled a hater. The only kind of commentary anyone would be happy with would be the kind that comes from a shameless Red Wings homer. Which is exactly what most of you complainers are!
