WCF Game 2 (5/13): Ducks 4, Red Wings 3 OT

wow, I just watched the replay of the Duck pushing Dom into the goal. That was not a goal. Plain and simple. They didn't get lucky, the ruling was incorrect.

Ducks don't deserve this game.

Keith Jones even just said that Hasek was "pitchforked" into the net...but didn't imply that meant it shouldn't have been a goal. @#$%ing tools.

I take back my "now things are even" for our fluke goals in the 1st game, we were lucky, that Moen goal was a clear bastardization of the rules. Here's to Karma!

Hmm you know looking back at that Moen goal on that review, I know it's water under the bridge but he pushed Hasek into the net. We were absolutely robbed on that review.

can't review a push in tho...can only review if it went over the line.

That's it, we're bringing out the big guns. This is going out in a fax to #20's stall before the first OT

--

LAAAAAANG walks in beauty, like the night

Of cloudless climes and starry skies;

And all that 's best of dark and bright

Meet in yo' aspect and yo' baby blue eyes:

Thus mellow'd to that tender light

Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,

Had half impair'd the nameless grace

Which waves in every raven tress,

Or softly lightens o'er her face;

Where thoughts serenely sweet express

How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,

So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,

The smiles that win, the tints that glow,

But tell of days in goodness spent,

A mind at peace with all below,

A heart whose love is innocent!

(TRANS.--WE'RE SAYING YOU ARE AWESOME ROBERT LANG)

ALSO: the Versus fools just praised Lang. The karma increases.

Ok just a question :D most of you guys know that i hate Bertuzzi, but Datsyuk is getting killed out there,so isnt this where Bert should come in and nail anyone who even looks sideways at Dats,or Zetts or Lids or any of our star players?

there's no reason this should be in overtime right now

the reason is officiating and bad calls on illegal plays resulting in a goal being called that wasn't a goal. But I know from hard experience that it won't matter. I've seen far worse injustices, believe me.

If the Ducks win this one, it will simply give the Wings more reason to crush them in the next four straight. If you can't win straight up, go home.

Even the Versus intermission toads have stated that Hasek was "pitchforked into the net" - but no comment that you can't do that. They must be scared of being critical of the calls or the league. I hope my laptop battery lasts through OT.

Homer in the first 4 min or a Cleary SH tally.

Teemu could catch the puck and throw it in the net and if it counted the talking heads over at VS. studio would just say something like "Teemu sure caught a break with that one, yuck yuck. What an amazing goal!"

Hasek was not pushed into the net. According to Eddie, "That's just a real good effort on the follow-up. You know, that's one thing the Ducks have been talking about...."

everyone on CBC said he was pushed in, so i'll live with their view, and my own.

Maybe so, but since there was no ruling originally, there's no reason not to wave it off. They've reviewed goals and waved them off because of intent to blow the whistle before.

Anyway, Versus is a bunch of idiots. They're admitting that Dom was pushed in, but refusing to mention that for that very reason it should not have been a goal.

um, yes, he was. Watch the replay. The refs looked the other way once he had the puck stopped in his pads, until the Duck could shove him over the line. It was Neidermeyer who did it, by the way. Tackling Nick, shoving Dom over the goal line --- busy night!!!!

I'm sure this has been said, but I'm not going to read hundreds of posts before mine.

What a ******* a joke. This game should not be going to OT. Hasek got PUSHED INTO THE NET by Niedermayer on the third goal, and hey, even if you want to ignore that, where the hell was the intent to blow the whistle?!

If we lose because of this, I don't think I'll be able to stomach watching game three. The reffing has gotten to me.
