omnipotent_hudler 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Bah.. Buffalo just can't keep Ottawa's top line under control. They need a better defensive corps.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 OUCH. 1-0 13 left in the third. Sabres need to do something now or else they go down 3-0 in this series.

Grypho 195 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 3-0 lead with a 1-0 SHUTOUT? That game was nothing short of amazing.
ladybugblue 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Sabres had only 15 shots on goal the whole game. I have to say I am surprised. I thought Ottawa could win against them but I thought the Sabres would play much better than they have. It is still not over but for the Sabres to win something dramatic would need to happen. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 15 SOG from the Sabs? Lucky Ottawa, they didn't even have to show up. I cannot believe the Sabres are going to lay down and die like this. Wow.
BuckeyeWingsfan80 209 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 This series could be over by Wednesday and then Ottawa will get to sit and watch as the Ducks and the Wings beat the holy hell out of each other...... But I think this series illustrates the overall weakness of the Eastern Conference this year.

puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 But I think this series illustrates the overall weakness of the Eastern Conference this year. good point. Ottawa isn't a match for either the Wings or the Ducks.
Elshupacabra 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Buffalo played like crap tonight, giving up all kinds of odd man rushes even a 2 on 0 at one point, Miller was the only one who looked like he cared out there, Full marks to the Sens though.
Hockey13Playa 240 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I never ever expected the Sens to be up 3 games to none. I knew they were good, especially the Alfredsson, Heatly and Spezza line, but I never thought they would take the first three in a row. I honestly was rooting for Buffalo but the Senators really are proving themselves this year in the playoffs.
Guest bullocks Report post Posted May 15, 2007 hopefully buffalo can take this series to atleast 6. useless f***s.
detroitdan 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I think Ottawa will be a tough team in the Finals...they have an amazing top line, solid defence, and a goalie that hasn't made many mistakes...they'll be a tough matchup for Detroit
Firehawk 305 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 Does Ottawa hit like all 3 of our western opponents? I haven't really watched alot of them but from what I have seen they don't really hit. They play speedy hockey which i think would play into Detroit's hands honestly. The wings need a series like that...if we can get there.

RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 This series could be over by Wednesday and then Ottawa will get to sit and watch as the Ducks and the Wings beat the holy hell out of each other...... But I think this series illustrates the overall weakness of the Eastern Conference this year. That's kind of how I look at it - can the East really be this bad? The West was the better conference last year, and our cinderella fizzled out in the SCF. We're far superior to the East again this year - but a long WCF series could benefit the Sens. Watching that game, either the Ducks or Wings would also smoke the Sabres in 4 games - they've cashed it in for the year - 15 SOG, totally pathetic looking. I can't believe they beat the Rangers except skimming by with just enough talent to do so.... Man I wish we were playing the Sabres right now.
T-Ruff 47 Report post Posted May 15, 2007 I can see the Sens completing the sweep....they are undoubtedly the best team in the East this year..... All the experts/analysts pegged this series as impossible to predict, I had a very hard time coming up with my Sens in 6 prediction.... But after seeing Ottawa play in the playoffs so far, the team that comes out of the West should be scared.... Ottawa is hungry, talented, and playing nearly flawlessly......
