I know it's supposed to be in the rumor thread and since everyone is talking about free agents and trades and such why not put this in the general discussion thread. We did just get knocked out of the playoffs so I feel this needs to be here. If Lang made anything over 4 million, even in Florida, the fans would complain. There are people who are Panthers fans, mostly northern transplants who live in Miami, but still. I mean, they did make the Ryan Smyth trade, but that's a wash now, since it got them nowhere, they lost a great player in Ryan O'Marra, and Smyth will probably leave anyways. Word is their also going to keep Yashin (yuck), and when Schneider sees that, he'll see that they are making no strides to win. Schneids wants to win another Cup, and he has a chance to do it here.
