OsGOD 3 Report post Posted May 25, 2007 (edited) I didn't see this posted.... R. Kesler Re-signed for 3 years. VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -- The Vancouver Canucks re-signed center Ryan Kesler to a three-year contract Thursday. The 22-year-old would have become a restricted free agent July 1. Kesler had six goals and 10 assists in 48 games last season, but missed the final 34 games of the regular season after undergoing hip surgery in late January. He was a surprise starter when the Western Conference playoffs opened, but broke his finger in the first game and did not return. A first-round pick of the Canucks in the 2003 NHL draft, Kesler has 18 goals and 44 points in 158 career games. He earned $1.9-million last season after Philadelphia signed him to an offer sheet and the Canucks matched it. Terms of Kesler's new deal were not disclosed. That is such great news. I am very happy for him! He has had to go through so much s*** last season with injuries... its good to see the canucks still have faith in him. FinWing 26 Report post Posted May 25, 2007 Good for him. I wonder how big the contract is, considering the offer sheet mess before this season.

Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted May 26, 2007 His injuries this year are courtesy of "The Bob Clarke Effect". Hey, that'd be a nifty name for a movie wouldn't it? Clarke is such a bastard anyways, he could easily play both the protagonist and the antagonist. I smell a blockbuster! Regardless, Kesler is a good player. He just had some hard luck this year. He has great potential, and it's a good move by the Canucks to lock him up. Good signing all around.
