I seriously have no idea how that stuff happens (with teams that're intact the year after), except the fact that they got lucky in the winning season.

Exactly. Like Carolina, I expect them to miss the playoffs. Or, they'll be like Tampa, and just barely make it with an 8th place finish, then be ousted in about 4 or 5 games.

i know this is a little late, but seems that a little of the canadian fans rubbed off on the american fans...i listened to them sing the US national anthem at the beginning of the game just like the canadians did in ottowa...personally i liked it, showed support and patriotism...it should be like this every game....

Selanne already said he wants to return. How often does anyone make an offer to a restricted FA? Moen will not leave. This team will not have a drop off next year, too much young talent that hasnt even reached their peak yet.

Staal is better than all 3 of those guys. We'll talke when one of them puts up 100 points in only his 2nd season in the league.

Cam Ward and Andrew Ladd also have promising futures. And while some guys, like Brind'Amour and Whitney are old, they are still dominant players in the league. They have just as bright of future as Anaheim. And they are also a much classier team.
