Holland should trade for these guys: Ilja Bryzgalov $1,000,000.0 & Joni Pitkanen $2,000,000.00

Get a cheap dman that can play with Nicky or on the Powerplay-- (Brad Stuart, Andy Sutton, Teppo Numminen, David Tanabe, Duvie Westcott,Tom Preissing, Chris Phillips, Scott Hannan, Eric Brewer, Cory Sarich)

i was actually thinking about pitkanen ........since schneider will get more on the market i was thinking maybe hudler and meech for pitkanen would get him here , only reason i throw him in is cause i dont think babcock wants him and his value althought not super high its pretty good

id then sign pitkanen for 4 yrs at 3-4 per .............but i think edm will get him

if we got pitkanen he'd be able to play with lidstrom on the ppl ........i wouldnt mind guerin for a yr one deal and let the kids grigorenko kopecky and quincey play

Yeah but even then...iIf Burke had any inkling that a team he dealt Bryzgalov to would turn around and deal him to Detroit, the move wouldnt be made to begin with. Bryzgalov will end up out East to a team that needs a goalie.

ya for sure he'll go to the east unless they deal him to phoenix , cause lets face it phoenix wont be a threat for a few yrs , most teams have a goalie now except for phoenix and boston

I think it would be great if we got Bryz. He's cheap this year and I don't think we'd have to give up a whole lot for him. IMO it be a better option than Hasek becuase Dom is supposedly calling this his last year and even if it isn't do we really want a 43 year old goalie next year? Bryzgalov has the potential to be another Kipper and he's still young so we'd be set in net for years to come.

Bryz will not be in a wings jersey for couple of reasons ... hasek is back ... osgood is our backup ... howard is probably a year away and burke hates the wings ... anyhow i think goaltending is pretty much set for next year ... the only thing im hoping that holland does ... is re-sign bertuzzi ... we dont usually see a power forward that can actually play the game good when his 100% healthy in a wings uniform ... dont want to miss him out

How exactly does it make sense for Anaheim to give a goalie to the team they just played in the Western Conference Finals? And not get much for him to boot? No way. They can get something good in return from Boston.

I Think they should resign McCarty. He's an Unrestricted Free Agent. They bought him out a couple years ago because of his salary but now he is affordable. I think he will benefit from coming back!

hubcap07 - McCarty is on his last wheel, he's old and rusty....the Wings should not sign him. If you're looking for a McCarty type, Arron Asham is the way to go.

And Bryzgalov (sp?) is not going to be a Wing anytime soon. It's all but settled that the Wings will be going with Hasek/Osgood, and the Wings could do a lot, lot worse than that.

The Wings aren't willing to move what it would take to land JP. Hudler has very little value, Lilja even less, Meech is a prospect. As far as picks, even a 1st rounder plus those three wouldn't be enough to land JP. Not when d-men are at a premium this offseason.

I would like Bryz. But as Lou wisely stated, Burke would never ever allow such to happen so stop thinking about it. Pitkanen, who would we trade away for him? What we have to do is let our youth develop and sign our free agents. We are fine the way we are.

For Pitkanen it would be outrageous also. A shrimp, a sometimes-shaky stay-at-home defenseman, an unproven minor-leaguer and some prospects for a defenseman who has scored over 40 points in every one of his seasons in the NHL and is only 27?

i dont know why hudler and meech is that hard to believe can be enough for pitkanen a guy who they really wanna trade for some reason , hudler's value is pretty good , 15 goals with no ice time and basically no real offensive linemates and derek meech whos nhl ready ........some of the rumors i heard have raffi torres,mike commodore or niclas wallin going back , id rather have hudler/meech together then any one of those , you put hudler with someone like hartnell and carter, 2 big guys around him and he'll do good

mine you i like hudler and if it was me id keep him , but i dont think babcock likes him and wont play him much so we might as well get something , and meech is out of waiver options and id rather have quincey in the lineup then meech
