Legionnaire11 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2007 http://predators.nhl.com/team/app/?service...rticleid=335378 Very solid signing for the third line, can step up to a scoring line as an injury replacement

Winged Scooter 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2007 That's a respectable pick up, I've always liked Gelinas, hey Legionnaire how much do the Preds have to spend to get back up over the cap floor?
Legionnaire11 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2007 they had like $2-2.3M left to spend. Not sure if we overpaid Gelinas by that whole amount, or if there's still a move to be made. one scenario is that poile attached last seasons rookie bonuses to weber and radulov's contracts for this season to get that $2M down a little and thus wouldn't be overpaying Gelinas so badly. MaynardJKeenan 1 Report post Posted July 26, 2007 does now. meaning we still have $1.5 to spend once we move a couple of our depth guys. Excuse my ignorance, but I haven't been following the Preds over the summer. They have 1.5 mill to spend to reach league limit or a self imposed cap? Or is that the amount they have to spend to reach the minimum?
Legionnaire11 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2007 it's what they HAVE to spend to reach the minimum.

SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted July 26, 2007 WTF Holland you stupid imboslic blockhead!!!!! How could you not sign Gelinas?!?!!? /sarcasm That being said, I would have liked to have him as a Red Wing. And Joseph would definetly about him being clutch, 2 sudden death OT goals on DIFFERENT TEAMS!
Guest Crymson Report post Posted July 27, 2007 That being said, I would have liked to have him as a Red Wing. If we weren't so high on 3rd-4th liners, I'd agree with you. As is, I feel that he'd be tying up money we'll need to pick up a 2nd-liner.
