They are the defending AL champs, and are practically in first place still, while playing the toughest schedule in baseball to date. I didn't know that being in 1st in one of the toughest divisions in the leauge was "sucking". I'd rather face some adversity now than later. Besides, not using it as an excuse cause every team faces it, but the injuries aren't exactly minor, and seem to be taking a toll. Yes going 1-9 sucks horribly, but Cleveland has done almost just as bad. We've gotten spoiled quick as far as baseball's concerned in this city, but for those of you - like myself- who have been fans their entire lives, this is great that they've got two winning seasons in a row. If they had the lead and now dropped 10 games out, I'd say f*** this season is over - but its way to close to get down on them now. Plus their so injured right now its not even funny. 96warrior 11 Report post Posted August 6, 2007 I think we would know by now. Last year the Tiger's were on a road trip the weekend before training camp. I think there is just a limited time frame when the players return to the area and then they leave for training camp. I agree. We had a great time last year and we were looking forward to this year. We may be surprised. I also read that the Champions' Challenge was the biggest Ilitch fundraiser so I can't imagine they would want to miss a year. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The blogs are always funny because they blow absolutely everythng out of propertion, but when Joe Morgan isn't sitting there on Sunday night masturbating over Gary Sheffield you know somethings not right. it just seems different and i'm guessing that they won't make the playoffs, which from my perspective as a Wings only (NA sports anyway) fan isn't a bad thing Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Apparently you dont remember at the end of the regular season last year when the finished like 20-40 or something terrible and coughed up a 11 game lead over the twins and everybody was pretty down then also. 2.
