arnoldbuck 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2007 Haha, this is exactly what the NHL needs. Good marketing. True, I suppose it is just confirming many opinions that hockey is a violent sport. But thats besides the point, it is funny, and will get attention.
DyingAlive 27 Report post Posted August 31, 2007 Haha, those are great. Though I think the last one is a bit soon, don't you think? It's kind of in the realm of "Our players don't murder dogs" A bit soon to be making wise cracks about.

Cicada 4 Report post Posted August 31, 2007 That went right over my head. Didn't even catch on. Was that the actuall meaning? it was about the NBA point shaving thingy
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted August 31, 2007 Not to be a vocabulary Nazi or anything, but by definition someone can't murder a dog. Unless of course you're using dog in the colloquial sense.
Guest jaytan Report post Posted August 31, 2007 The riskiest one in the bunch is probably the one that says, "Is the 'N' in NFL for Nancy?" Do you really want to call a bunch of Texans wusses because they like football? Some hick's going to drive his pick-up truck down to some Dallas shopping mall (thinking it's the Stars' arena) and shoot some guy in a suit with his hunting rifle (guessing he's the Stars' owner). Cicada 4 Report post Posted August 31, 2007 "maybe baseball should stop using the word sacrifice"... that one is my fave..it's utterly perfect
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted August 31, 2007 Upending a familiar cliche to "Come into the cold" was brilliant too. Kudos to the Stars organization for signing onto this. I wonder if Hullie had any influence or came up with any of those?
