cool, but if Grigs ends up on the same line, as Dats who is going to score goals? Assists dont light up the goal

Maybe he will end up playing on a line wth zets or hudler....the good thing is at least he's putting up points

pavel can score... he could easily be a 35-40 goal guy + 70-80 assists

I'll be ecstatic when Datsyuk can put up 105-120pt seasons. That'd put him in the competition for league MVP.

Realistically, Pavel is and always has been a set-up man. He always looks for the pass out there and doesn't seem to have that that bury-the-puck-3"-into-the-boards-behind-the-net instinct that made Feds the offensive dynamo he was.

1-on-1 Pavel is arguably the best stick handler in the league, but he's still a playmaker at heart and not a finisher like Z.

We need Grigs to be a finisher, and according to scouting reports he is. Now, obviously, if you put Dats on a line with another playmaker they'll still score- it's not like Dats is unaware of how to score. BUT what Dats really needs is someone like what Cheechoo is to Thornton. And that someone can't be Z because we need Z to anchor the second line :(

Nice to see Grigs perform. I'm not too worried about the scoring. Sure a sniper would be nice but its not like our players are incapable of finding the back of the net. Hopefully Ryno will develop well in NA and be able to use his size. He won't learn that in Europe.

If they are on a line and do a lot of passing fortunately we could put Holmstrom on that line, and he can deflect one of those passes in the goal. :siren:

Great to see Grigs competing like this. 3 assists today. Even McGrath is looking good. But he's nowhere near the expectations that I have for Igor.
