'Wings TV' launches on Red Wings website

The Detroit Red Wings have surprisingly embraced the NHL's "new media" philosophy by launching Wings TV, and its first offering is impressive: a 7:58 video from today's morning skate!

Might "Wings TV" Show the game tonight? Im not getting CI till next week and would like to see it.

I seriously doubt that since the NHL is selling online tv. If you or someone you know has Directv Center Ice is free this week, I think. At least, for my brother in law who has watched all the games so far. I pay for it so I'm not sure how long that offer is for.

Nah, they don't show actual games. Just highlights, interviews, and the like.

Good to see the Wings finally have their "tv" up and working though. Been watching other teams' videos for weeks now.

It's definitely cool to see the morning skate... but I have yet to see anything "impressive." all one camera from the side boards with an operator that doesn't know how to white balance...? none-the-less, very cool since none of us every get to see that stuff... how about that F-bomb at the 1:35 mark? shoulda been rated-R... haha.

The NHL will hand off online streaming to the individual team if they want to broadcast their own games (in the local broadcasting area). Leafs TV Interactive streams games online for the Leafs instead of NHL.tv

I notice this a couple days ago. It's sort of cool because of the behind the scenes stuff shown.
