Then again, it already is failing. Of course when you hear Bettman talk "everything is fine." So much for watching a good hockey game tonight. puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 OUTGOALTENDED...simple as that..we aren't playing that bad, in both games against these guys we have outplayed them but we have outplayed between the pipes bad. This game was ugly as hell with not much flow and we need to stay out of the box but Dom has to play better than this!! not sure there's much else he can do... he got an assist tonight, doing what he can with this piece of crap game. VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 I really hate to lay blame on anyone, but Hasek looked terrible tonight. Why is he so terrible one on one? And why is our world-class defense so stupid when it comes to positioning lately? I think the Wings have been on the wrong end of two-on-ones more times in the last 7 games than the entirety of last season. (Exaggeration, I know) Anyway, Bryz has another great game. Anaheim goons it up. And way too many penalties for this to be any good of a game. I'm really disappointed. Detroit plays sloppy. Seriously, how many times can the puck go wide/get deflected? it seemed that when there was chaos around Detroit's goal, Anaheim kicked it into high gear. When chaos happened around Anaheim's goal, Detroit didn't move quick and shoot, they held the puck and allowed themselves to set themselves up. I'm not a big fan of Forsberg but if he could show up healthy it would make a big difference in our depth and might provide us with a second line that could create something. What makes me sick is whenever pronger feels any type of movement on him he dives, and it works... That game was disgusting. I think it's safe to say that if we had not gotten so many penaltys we would have done better, so there is something we will have to work on. Besides that we are fine. That sucked too. My top two votes for contracting teams are the Kings and Ducks. Not having a team in L.A. works for the NFL. I'm sure it'd work for the NHL too.
