wingnut40 176 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 (edited) worst officiating i have ever seen in my entire ******* life. I hope the refs stop sucking the Coyotes dick long enough to drown in their own vomit. Datsyuk, what the HELL are you doing in the neutral zone, THREE turn overs to almost every god damn scoring chance they've had. and oh, duuuuurrrr Hasek, want to make a god damn save once in a while? Well said! This game is already turrining out to be total ******* bulls***. What the hell are the refs doing. Homer's no where in the crease, not touching the goalie and they call a ******* interference? :flamingmad: Dom needs to realize that he let the Coyotes score 2 goals. The ******* COYOTES!!!! And Datsyuk needs to stop flopping sround on the ******* ice. If the ice is crappy then Pav should be a good enough player to be able to over come that. God dang ******* home refs are ruining the sport!!! :punch: :battle: Edited October 21, 2007 by wingnut40
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 They don't play as hard because they walk in thinking it's a given? I don't know. That's usually what it is. How many games do they manage to lose against sub .500 teams on because they don't try hard enough? Too many, to say the least. refs, phantom calss, goals taking away eventhough they shouldn't, take your pick That all goes hand-in-hand, but the fact remains that the Wings aren't playing their best. datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 Flip is just having horrible luck. He'll get back on track soon enough. it's not luck. flip just doesn't have a finishing touch, plain and simple.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 Ugh. Why is it that the Wings always manage to play their worst against terrible teams? The reffing is also homerism at it's worst. If you're going to be pillow soft about the goaltender interference, at least call it both ways. The Coyotes 2nd goal could have just as easily been goaltender interference as the Wings 2nd goal that got called off. The Wings better pick it up. They don't do very well on Saturday night for some reason. man, you got this right, KP - thank you for saying it, because I sure wanted to... I have a sick little radar about these types of games, and I want so badly to be wrong. It's the last game of a long road trip, and they think Phoenix is not a threat -- used up all their juju in San Jose. I hope they come out and prove to me that home cooking is not calling them, and play the way they did Thursday night... but I ain't gonna bet on it.
Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 it's not luck. flip just doesn't have a finishing touch, plain and simple. Exactly. He's a two-way forward, but not very good offensivily at all.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 On the Coyotes second goal, Kal and Woods were saying that one should have disallowed too because a Coyote was in the blue area like Holmstrom was, I mean wasn't. I agree with Ken Kal. Hate to say it, but Hasek and the Wings won't get the same consideration/calls as Wayne-O's team, because... they are Hasek and the Red Wings. Nuf said. savaking72 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 Boy, these calls are pretty bad tonight. Holmstrom has a right to be pissed. Holmstrom will even it up tonight...just wait. Nice to see Hudler scoring. Our physical presance with Downey is awesome. He should be in the line up always. The guys seem to have energy with him in the lineup. I was sort of wishing to see Osgood in goal, but hopefully Hasek can keep it togather. Nice 1st period guys
RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 You just never saw this crap as often in the old NHL. It's bizarre. It really is. It's damn hard to figure out. I'm not saying the league has any sort of agenda against the Red Wings, but you sort of have to wonder what's going on when Homer is called for penalty after penalty, when other players get away with much worse. Like I said, you can't call penalties based on reputation. I think Holmstrom's reputation follows him around, and referees are watching for him. Still, Ken Daniels mentioned that the penalty was for INTERFERENCE, not for GOALTENDER INTERFERENCE. So, I guess the call was made on Holmstrom's play with the Phoenix defender, not on Tellqvist. Whatever the case, it was a terible call and it makes it hard to take any of this seriously.
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 god if I were Homer right now I would just go after the ref and just punch him out, I don't care what the penalty is, you gotta make this s*** clear that we're not gonna take this s*** anymore. See, the problem is, from what I know of the rule book at least, that punching out the ref is only going to make your penalty trouble wores.
Sevumar 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 I don't know that there's any conspiracy against the Wings and/or Hasek because of who they are. I'm willing to accept, for the moment, anyway, that the refs are really just inept.
datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 dats has had some pretty suspect turnovers, he needs to tighten up. other than that, and maybe hasek, the wings are playing well. you can thank the refs for this one. absolute bulls***.

Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 Dear Marcus, I will try to meet your wishes cause I like ya so much. It should be done but my arch enemy baby sattan has put in moronic refs to oppose my well doings. Plus baby jebus also has a bit of a tummy ache. Sincerely, Baby jebus. Awww thanks widdle buddy. Hate to say it, but Hasek and the Wings won't get the same consideration/calls as Wayne-O's team, because... they are Hasek and the Red Wings. Nuf said. I still disagree with this. I think it makes us all sound a bit silly to say that the referees have some sort of bias against the Red Wings. I just fail to believe that for a second. I do, however, think that they are looking especially close at Holmstrom's play in front of the net and calling him for whatever may resemble any sort of penalty. Flip-check 6 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 That's just it, the Wings aren't playing a terrible game. They're dominating Phoenix in just about every way -- one look at the stats will tell you that. This game should be 2-1 the other way around. I think if Hank's goal is called in, you don't see the Coyotes even get one goal back on us. But the best thing for a Phoenix team is to be given confidence. I'm pretty sure that 2-0 deficit would have deflated them enough to keep their two goals off the scoreboard.

omnipotent_hudler 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2007 Did you miss the save he made in the last minute of play. Guess so. I did. He kept us in the game. and don't get me wrong, i'm usually the first to defend Hasek, but I'm actually leaning towards having Osgood play in goal because Hasek just looks sloppy as hell out there. My blood is simply boiling here, game should have been 2-0 with the coyotes confidence crushed and now we're playing catch up because the ref is ogling gretzky instead of watching the game. This is why i just cannot stand hockey sometimes. and yet i'm so painfully addicted to it...

I missed the first period, because I was out rescuing a friend stranded on the interstate in her stalled car (out of gas, ack!). So I didn't see the first goal for (Huddie!!) or against. But I saw the second one. Unless Dom can figure out how to see around a player in his crease, interfering with him, I am not sure how he stops it. Dom needs to get some more shots on goal, not 10 per game. No goalie plays well in that situation... and at this rate he's never going to get any sort of timing or rhythm in a game. He gets the crappily officiated games like Anaheim and this one so far -- so people think Hasek is the problem. He's not. But I know it is easy to blame Dom. Too bad, too. He'll be fine, as soon as he gets a couple of decent games under his belt. I did.
